  1. He and Bronson Arroyo are going to do a collaboration this fall according to the insiders at Rolling Stone.
  2. Yeah... Throw us Mauer. The guy can't stay off the DL! If only he were a football player... Or a soccer/hockey player like our DLed prospect, Mark Rogers. Well considering Mauer is on the DL, Ryan better ship us his DL-mate, CoCo Liriano to keep Joe company.
  3. Why don't we ever get the Douche involved in trade rumors? He could be a top three set-up guy in the NL...and another top three guy would be T-Bow (and Sexy Broxy would probably round out my top 3). Nevertheless, good times.
  4. Greinke and Villy in the 'pen with YoGa waiting in the wings. I'd sacrifice Gross for that.
  5. Latin Cappy for Putz and PTBNL??? Tony Butler...
  6. He's also a former Trojan, which the Brewers can never have enough of...unless their name is Chad.
  7. I would imagine many a Royal fan were of your opinion as well about their prized hot corner-dweller. And I'm sure many of those same fans would do a swap for Miggy in a heartbeat.
  8. Does anyone think Braun could approach Miggy's numbers? Miggy could hit .350/50/150 one of these years... And isn't he but a year older than Braun?
  9. Is there any organization with a better pair of prospects ready to contribute right now?
  10. Braun, Turnbow, and Gross for Taylor Tankersley and Miggy Cabrera.... Anyone????
  11. We could just as easily end up getting a team's second if they finished in the bottom half this year along with a supplemental, but neither is going to end up in Milwaukee within a year or two unless they are college closers, which are becoming vogue picks after Chad Cordero and Huston Street, meaning they might not last to the supplemental rounds (ok, they probably will, but even if they make it, Ryan Wagner is a good caveat...and I like the guy).
  12. I am about as big of an Inman fan there is, but if we could obtain Harden for Inman, and the player that he would ultimately unseat (Vargas), and a player who doesn't have an affinity for our first place team (Latin Cappy), I find it hard to pass up. And with the Canadian ties, as mentioned, it definitely has me salivating. Sheets and Harden could both challenge for the Cy while Cappy leads the NL in quality starts. I'd even expand it to go... Jenkins Vargas Braun for Harden Chavez the Douche
  13. Can we take on salary at the deadline? I thought we were already running over budget. Then again, Miller Park has become the hottest ticket in town, so I could also see a means of heightening payroll. Torii Hunter perhaps?
  14. In-the Park-man
  15. When assessing Lidge's value, I would look more towards Coco Cordero and his value a year ago, assuming Lidge shows some sort of inclination to throw strikes. He did work a scoreless inning tonight.
  16. Prospect Blog A good read all around, except when you ge tto the point where they claim that we claimed CV The Elder off of waivers. I seriously am clueless as to who they may be alluding to. Capellan would be an idea, as we raded Kolb for him. Matt Wise?
  17. Billy the Kid.
  18. He probably cost an arm and a leg as he is represented by Boras.
  19. I thought it funnier that my Schaumburg friend would do a "A-Ram and Zambrano for A-Rod" trade with no reluctance but when asked if he would go "Rich Hill and A-Ram for A-Rod," he completely dismisses the thought. Now I understand the economic ramifications of trading Hill, but they are far from a middling franchise.
  20. And also, I AM A HUGE BEN FAN!!! His K/BB ratio could push 10-1!!!! I find it hard to imagine a pitcher I would rather pitch the first game of a series. He is....our ace. But if economically we are going to be"A-Rod"-ed by his future contract, I would prefer to trade him for some young, inexpensive talent. Also, if it is going to be the Dodgy Fellows, make it Elbert, Billingsley, and Broxton. If they were to agree, it would be money.
  21. I would just prefer to model the Brewers after the Athletics than the Marlins. I understand that the Marlins have two rings in the last ten years and the A's are without, but I'd rather be good than lucky.
  22. I was basing my proposals on the packages the Athletics got for Hudson and Mulder. If we want to contend year after year, we have to make astute trades with our eyes on the future. Also, if we did trade Big Ben, we could insert CV the Younger or YoGa into our rotation. But the more I think about it, the more it scares me to imagine seeing Big Ben pitching AGAINST the Brews, especially at Miller Park. Let Ben dictate if he leaves Milwaukee.
  23. How exactly would the two teams match up? Are we going for AA prospects, or, as the Marlins call them, their starters? I could see targeting one of their young stud pitching prospects, however. Isn't their AA staff the most prospect-laden in baseball?
  24. Also, Clayton Kershaw would have to be a PTBNL, as he was just drafted in the last draft.
