  1. This hypothetical scenario seems way over the top to me. Have NBA teams started removing city names and replaced them with sponsors? What about the Premier League? Their uniforms are covered in sponsors and they haven’t removed city/traditional names. Per the yahoo article above, didn’t the Union propose that to the owners?
  2. My favorite player, Wahl is 0-17 and they have been winning. Good sign. Probably a good sign that he shouldn't be out on the perimeter chuckin up 3's. He has 17 attempts in 15 games, so he isn’t exactly chuckin up 3’s out there. He needs to shoot open 3’s when he has them (and needs to start making some) to keep the D honest - he shot about 28% last year so he’s shown he does have the ability to actual make some too.
  3. Rodgers has not been a LOT better, it just isn't so. Brady has 1000 more yards than Rodgers, and 5 more TDs. Yes, he obviously threw the ball more, he had to with so many injuries to their RBs, plus throwing the ball is a big part of their offense. Also, with so many receiving weapons (when healthy) it makes sense he threw the ball so much more, which also accounts for Brady having so many more INT. It goes without saying, if you throw the ball more, you have the opportunity to throw more interceptions. I agree with you, Brady or Rodgers may win the MVP, but in the end, it doesn't really matter. I'm sure both players would rather have another Lombardi than another MVP award. You keep pointing out that Brady has thrown for more yards/TD’s when trying to discount people that say Rodgers has been better than Brady but that really doesn’t help your argument. In those extra 169 attempts, he’s completed 61.5% of his passes for 1013 yards and a 5/6 TD to INT ratio. That is good for a whopping 73.4 passer rating and that is equivalent to Justin Fields numbers for the year (29th in the league). So you are correct that Brady has thrown more than Rodgers this year but he’s been pretty bad in those extra attempts. Edit: looks like work got in the way and others added some good info towards that before my post.
  4. Here is one of them, not sure how this wasn’t reviewed by the refs. I've seen that make the rounds....but I don't think there is much there. Williams never really swung his elbows that violently, he just made an aggressive box out with his hips which hit Vogt in a goofy way and made him bend over at the waist awkwardly... There was a ton of contact, but it was all hips and lower body on the box out which is really hard to gauge how much power/contact is too much.... It was enough contact that the ref comes running in to have words with Williams and it was definitely more than just hips/lower body - Williams cocks his arm and launches into Vogt. It definitely wasn’t a typical box out on a FT and that much contact is easily a foul if the ball was live. If it was reviewed, I don’t think they call it a flagrant foul since it wasn’t up high but it doesn’t belong on a basketball court.
  5. Here is one of them, not sure how this wasn’t reviewed by the refs.
  6. It is sorta crazy that neither LaFleur or Counsell have won Coach or Manager of the Year with what they’ve done the last few years.
  7. You can do whatever you want in the neutral zone if the offense doesn't react to it and you get back before the snap. Yeah I know. It didn’t look like he got back to me. I don’t know why, but that play bugged me in comparison to P. Smith being called offsides earlier in the game.
  8. I know it's our special teams, but its still rough to say that we would have started at roughly the same field position when we started at our 6 after the 4th down. That’s fair, but what kind of a difference are we talking about? 15 yards? (Yes, I acknowledge the butterfly effect and it’s not as simple as Baltimore having 3 extra points) Considering we went three and out and punted which gave Baltimore a short field (started past the 50) and they scored a TD on a 45 yard drive - odds are kicking the 3 points there changes the whole landscape of the game.
  9. To call it fan appreciation, it's almost better to do nothing than to give out "one free medium soda" to people who are routinely spending 300 - 400 or more per game on tickets, parking, food, merchandise, and etc. I have no idea what they ended up doing but the Giants did say that the sodas were only a part of their Fan Appreciation Day.
  10. Lack of preparation time aside, that just seems downright dangerous to Browns players. I wasn't a fan of adding a 17th game and it's just getting ridiculous the physical toll the NFL is putting on its players. How is it any different than playing on Sunday and then Thursday?
  11. How sad is it that Bevell is considered a Badger great? At least as quarterbacks go. Who is Marquette’s greatest QB? And no, Norte Dame players don’t count.
  12. Because he's not a likable guy. Although I don't like the act of relatives of players getting involved on social media getting involved, I certainly understand it when it comes to Baker Mayfield. Honest question - what makes him “not a likable guy”? I’ve never really paid any attention to him.
  13. Is his situation different? I thought Cleveland, or any team that releases a player, is on the hook for his remaining contract minus anything that is paid by the new team. I thought pretty much any team would just be signing him for the prorated vet minimum?
  14. How do the Rams have any cap space? Not that OBJ is taking up a lot of space, more of a general question with who they’ve added to their team.
  15. Packers fined $300k and Rodgers and Lazard each fined $14,650.
  16. I was going to comment on that as well. If JosephC was following the NFL, he’d know that they’ve been trying to crackdown on taunting this year and that the penalty had nothing to do with running into the ref. You can argue all you want about it being a crappy call and it looks that way to me. Just because you are facing your opponents bench doesn’t mean you are taunting them and it doesn’t even look like the Bears player is saying anything - refs need to make sure they know what they are seeing/hearing before calling a potential game-changing penalty in that situation. I’m all for taunting to be removed from the game - let them celebrate with teammates, fans, etc but the taunting can go. I do agree there should be some type of punishment handed to the ref as it looks like he intentionally moved into the player and if a player did that to a ref, he’d likely be ejected and fined.
  17. Yeah… no. Taking medical advice from Joe Rogan over a doctor is a poor choice. He stated he and his professionals had a 500 page novel of facts. He then consulted with Rogan after the fact. The whole thing has been taken out of context. He can state whatever he wants about the 500 page novel of “facts” from him and his team of “professionals” but if it contains the crap he’s been spewing lately, it is worthless misinformation and half-truths. I was also addressing you and your claim that you might listen to Rogan over a doctor and that doctors would prefer to make profits over trying to stop a worldwide pandemic… the lack of trust in doctors/science that we are seeing now is astonishing to me.
  18. The NFL has known his status this entire time. They could have disciplined him all this time. Doing something now would make no sense and be pretty pathetic on their part. Not fining him would look far worse. They have fined other players for violating the mask requirement for unvaccinated players. Letting the reigning MVP go unchecked and get special treatment is a terrible look that far exceeds their initial inaction. Add in the lack of remorse at any level (breaking rules...not for deciding to not disclosing his status), it all adds up to more than a simple fine. I would bet he gets a bigger fine than the normal $14,650, the Packers get a big fine and lose a 6th round pick similar to New Orleans last year. Then why didn’t the NFL fine him weeks ago for breaking protocol? Did they take draft picks away from the other teams who’s players broke mask protocol this year? The NFL knew he wasn’t vaccinated the whole time and hasn’t done anything… I guess it wouldn’t surprise me if they did something but it would be pretty hypocritical now when they looked the other way for weeks. Going forward would be a different case.
  19. I actually might. It's not in a doctor's best interest to cure you. It's in their best interests to make money. A patient cured is a patient lost. Yeah… no. Taking medical advice from Joe Rogan over a doctor is a poor choice.
  20. How many teams actually have $7.25m in cap space right now?
  21. Say that when he was asked in August?
  22. Is there anybody out there expecting his role to be anymore than what you just stated?
  23. Maji and Tomzcak are 2/3. Dilweg isn’t a bad guess, but he was 2 years prior to Favre. The third guy started a single game in both 1990 and 1991, but managed over 130 passing attempts in his three years. I thought maybe someone would get it because he spent three years as a Packer and started games in different years…but it is a pretty random guy in the grand scheme. The guy is: Blair Kiel. First answer to your question had Blair Kiel: LINK
  24. Aaron Rodgers in last 6 games without Davante Adams: • 142/202 • 1,865 yards • 17 TDs, 1 INT • 125.2 passer rating • 6-0 I also saw a rumor on another board that Adams tested negative today. If that is truly the case, he should be good to play on Thursday if he has another negative test tomorrow. ETA: Why does it matter if the #2 receiver is the RB? We’re talking about 1 game here, you cobble together a workable line up and go with it.
  25. I went with Brown and since I only needed 5 points it worked out just fine - wasn’t looking so hot at halftime though. I had the opposite game this week that you did - I scored the second fewest points in the league but got lucky and still won.
