  1. Down only 6 and shooting pretty horrible from 3. I'm not loving how this is feeling but they're in this just gotta get some shots to fall.
  2. His offense of course not. I do find criticisms of his defense comical however and that's where this started. Edit: I don't think I'd predict he'll win another gold glove but he doesn't need to win one to be considered a plus defender. I wouldn't call any of the OFs lacking on defense, JBJ's few miscues stick out only because he's a lightning rod for his offensive underachievement. I didn't claim he was a poor defender. I said I've seen him take a ton of bad first steps. My mistake then, he's a really good defender that gets a ton of bad jumps. Apologies.

  4. I agree. I think the guy just stinks. Huge waste of money. JBJ's +6 DRS is currently 7th among all OF, while his +6.3 UZR is currently tops in MLB among all OF. Brewers CF are currently 10th in MLB in WAR. For as bad as he's been with the bat (drove in the winning run today though) we've still been above average overall in CF & are in first place. Not good enough!
  5. I forgot to pay attention to Hiura's stride/leg kick. Anybody have anything they noticed?
  6. Yelich's splits against LHP is decidedly un-Yelichlike this year. Rocking a .627 OPS and only his .351 OBP is anywhere near satisfactory.
  7. I couldn't let this one slide, it's too good. Doesn't look like that Marlins domain exists, [sarcasm]this could be a get rich quick opportunity...[/sarcasm]
  8. I think it's safe to say a portion of what's been ailing Hiura exists squarely between his ears along with the hole in his bat and all the strikeouts, but he shouldn't be hitting as bad as he has been at the major league level even if he was only struggling with his strikeouts. Making contact is making contact and he's clearly having less issues doing that with less pressure in the minor leagues right now. He's seen plenty of mistake pitches and hittable pitches in the bigs he just hasn't been putting the bat on the ball.
  9. Game 7 road win. Doesn't matter if it was ugly that's a huge achievement for this franchise. They beat a damn good team that played their hearts out. I kind of still can't believe it, I thought they were going to regret game 5 for months.
  10. Lol refs.
  11. Unbelievable. What a series.
  12. Omg is this for real?
  13. There's the injection of hope...
  14. Lopez moves in millimeters per second.
  15. The inept inbounds plays at the end are brutal.
  16. Wow toe on the line. Extend the agony.
  17. And there it is.
  18. I hate that I'm not even nervous I don't feel like the Bucks win these games.
  19. That felt typical.
  20. Rockies are 24-14 at home this season, there are only 6 teams in MLB with better home records than them.
  21. Good thing that's not at all the purpose behind the idea.
  22. I saw today that Al Leiter had an idea that MLB should just name one universal substance that's is approved for use and provide it on the mound and that way everyone is using the same thing and they'd know what effects it would have. Clearly throughout baseball history there's been an acceptable form of what pitchers use, it's only recently that substances have become weaponized. Just go back to what used to work but didn't shut down offenses throughout the league.
