The whole franchise is in such a weird position. There’s a lot of great things in place, but LaFleur seems to be in that good not great tier and Rodgers is declining and a big cap eater, plus could go retire to a hut somewhere to podcast at any moment. The receivers could be good but seem too young to get to the promised land right now. The defense underperforms and needs much better safety play. It’s hard to know which direction they should go. -
Hang on. Does this happen often? Has Rasul ever done anything like this? This isn’t a high school squad, these are grown men. They need to be in charge of their own conduct. If this becomes a pattern, then fine, lay it on MLF, and there are other things MLF needs to answer for tonight. But not that play.

Possibly. I’d think Rodgers could diagnose an opportunity for a quick QB sneak there and opt for that, but who knows.

Defense played well on that three and out, and Goff looks a little skittish. Good signs early. Plus, no trick punt yet.

I am very concerned about the Lions. They are a superior opponent to the Vikings in every single way, and they have a truly diverse set of offensive threats. We’re going to have to earn it. I hope everybody is ready, especially 12.
