well have to give the teams like the rays and cubs credit at least they are trying to get better, starting to believe that melvin will be looking for Scraps just like the old days. hopefully im wrong but this looks like the making of a long long season
  2. brewmann04
Hopefully Melvin is working on some deals that will improve the Pitching and would expect something to happen by the middle of the month.
  3. brewmann04
WELL did we really expect Doug to pay alot for a closer especially since we have Mcclung and Julio already on board. I think Doug will wait until the end of Jan to see who left to make a move. Theme for 2009 just be Patient
  4. brewmann04
lowe would be an nice addition to our staff especially if they resign Sheets.
  5. brewmann04
CAN YOU SAY SALARY CAP NOW I CANT BELIEVE THE YANKESS GET CC AND WE GET ROBBED
  6. brewmann04
Hoffman,Fuentes,Smoltz or Cordero will do right now just make sure you add one doug
  7. brewmann04
now we sign either Hoffman or smolz to close
  8. brewmann04
Thankfully this is over period, and good job by Doug for backing away from thsi bad trade. The one problem is does this tie up the brewers from getting any help they might need.
  9. brewmann04
i agree this is a no biggie deal, hopefully he can come back.
  10. brewmann04
It seems the brewers might just be better off with leaving the rotation alone. We should not waste Money on the 40 year old pitchers or trade anymore of our prospects. Let the young arms carry the team.if the brewers do sign a veteran then get Hoffman
  11. brewmann04
hopefully this puts an end to this would be terrible trade. Kudos to doug .
  12. brewmann04
I hope Melvin just keeps Mike.
  13. brewmann04
according to the link the Orioles took Capt Lou is that correct?
  14. brewmann04
LOL the yanks want the brewers to pick up some of Cam salary HA , they better include a quality Minor League Pitcher
  15. brewmann04
well no one knows how much he actually lost so we should not dump on him yet. the fans did come and he did add CC so i have alot of respect for the man. with the way the ecomony is it hard to see the brewers having 3 million again
  16. brewmann04
I would like Abreu added to this lineup he would be a nice addition
  17. brewmann04
I hope they can use some of the CC money to try an lock up some of there Youngsters. I hope melvin can add Hoffman ,thinking we might need the Bullpen alot this year.
  18. brewmann04
i just hope how Melvin was planning all along other moves since he really had to believe CC was not Comming Back. I not sure about Sheets he is a very good pitcher when Healthy and that the problem. Hopefully YO will be able to pitch a full Year in 2009
  19. brewmann04
Yep your correct now we can trade CC Pal to NY and hopefully we can get something in return.
  20. brewmann04
as anyone here knew it all came down to the Money and the Yankees have it to spend. Just another reason that baseball needs a salary cap. If cc does not pitch like he did in Milwaukee the NY fans will be very hard on him. Well hopefully Doug enjoyed his trip to Vegas and can finally get onto his work on trying to find some pitching for next year Rotation. I just hope that the Prospects we gave to clev don't turn into any all stars..
  21. brewmann04
It looking Like Ken Rosenthal is predicting the Giants will get involved now.
  22. brewmann04
I have the same feeling we have all our eggs in one basket and if we don't get CC we are again left with the Bottom of the Barrell.
  23. brewmann04
what are the Targets in the rule 5 draft
  24. brewmann04
giants trying to make their team better to make an offer to get CC there.
