  1. No need to ask, because the answer is obvious. There is no 10th inning if you don't get through the 9th. This is nuts. You can't expect to get through the 10th when it starts with a man on second base with a scrub pitching. The scrub has a much better chance with nobody on base. This is a bad take and should be asked of Counsell.
  2. Are you not entertained?? As I said a few weeks back this team more than anything else is boring. Who in their right mind would pay good money to see these guys get 3-4 hits a night play ok D and run the bases terribly. Counsell also has never been asked why Hader keeps pitching the 9th when there is nobody on base and pitching scrubs in the 10th when a man on. It's not like they are likely to score so I just don't understand what we are doing here.
  3. Counsell is safe I am sure but man he's not doing himself any favors by having a team that can't hit is sloppy in the field and has a horrible pen.
  4. Counsell has always been ok by me but this is the first time where I am willing to look at him as part of the problem. I hate to say it but there is no excuse for what we are seeing night after night.
  5. A strike. With two strikes my little leaguers know how to protect the plate. The guy has been behind home plate all night. He knows the deal better than anyone. No excuse.
  6. If you get swept by the Royals with Woodruff and Burnes pitching the season is a wrap. There is no where to go from here. It's basically playing out the string. Sorry.
  7. Jeffress has to basically be in critical condition to not get a call from Stearns. Come on man.
  8. My apologies to all. I was someone who said the brewers were at least two arms short in the pen. Come to find out they are at least four short. My bad.
  9. Did anyone feel encouraged about how Yelich looked tonight?? He looked awful. Of course so did everyone else.
  10. Can’t disagree much with that. Some of this looks like more than just a rough patch. We’re 25% of the season in now. I’d almost rather see them cut a couple of the AAAA players and call up anyone else who might want a chance to play in the majors. Hiura’s demotion was called for. But other than that, poor play doesn’t seem to have any consequences. Agreed. If Urias can't field a ground ball bring on Turang already. This team is going nowhere anyway.
  11. Who is being held accountable for this mess is a question that must be asked every day until proven otherwise. It makes no sense how bad this team is given the supposed talent on hand. Either Stearns has mismanaged the roster my take or the coaching staff is not able to get the most out of the players on hand. Guys like Hiura and Urias appear to get worse with big league coaching makes no sense. Something has to be done. This team is boring and bad. Deadly.
  12. Ohtani just hit a 445 ft homer for number 14. The guy is a freak. Angels have worst pitching in baseball. They could use an arm or two. They have Walsh playing first. he's killing it. Let's make a deal.
  13. I fully expect Woodruff to finish the year 5-4 with an era under 2.00. That would be unbelievable.
  14. Lack of options. If you're stuck on an island with Roseanne Barr even that eventually would look tolerable. Lack of options to spend 10 million bucks?? I could have presented them with some better ones.
  15. One of the worst pitching teams in mlb has given up one hit tonight. The brewers are one of the few team that should skip the dh because they do not have enough competent offensive players.
  16. Getting to be?? Under statement frankly. They go into every game knowing if you give up three that might be the game. We all wanted them to develop some home grown pitching but now we see you can't win with that alone. Might be time to see what Hader can get on the market. The price may never be higher.
  17. Hiura has 4 doubles in his first 2 games in Nashville, so that’s good to see at least. Like Arcia if he doesn't tear it up it's all over.
  18. Cain looks done. Between him and Bradley next year could be worse than this one.
  19. One of the problems with shipping out guys like Arcia and Aguilar is they seemed to be the guys who brought some personality and life to the dugout. They may have had some ups and downs but they loved the game and brought some energy. This team seems very shall we say flat and lifeless.
  20. Right?? Brewers beyond being not good are not well managed unfortunately.
  21. Either he likes minor league pitching or a change of scenery did him good. Those are eye popping numbers! He's a major league player. He should be hitting like that. If Hiura doesn't he's done.
  22. Why on earth would Lauer pitch to Ozuna again after hitting a ball to the moon. Counsell appears to be bored by this team also.
  23. Yankees need a centerfielder. Call them and offer them Bradley for a Cousins sub. They know him well and may think he can still play.
  24. If Yelich doesn't get healthy, I could see this team being sellers at the deadline. If we had anything to sell besides Hader. Why would anyone think he's going to make any difference at all?? This team is 6 bats short with Yelich.
