  1. I’d actually be shocked if they’d throw a reliever twice in the same day, even if he threw just one pitch. I assume anyone who threw in the first game is just down for the day. I’d be curious to know if anyone has ever thrown in both games of these 7-inning doubleheaders (for any team)? If that is the case then we are in big trouble here.
  2. Imagine thinking Suter is the answer over Cousins in any scenario beside long relief. Incredible.
  3. That Adames ab was so bad in the 8th inning too. They had Diaz shook but Brewers just let guys off the hook far too often. Read the situation boys.
  4. I can't wait till the second game when we have to hear how Williams was unavailable because of that 1/3 of an inning in the first game.
  5. Mind numbing decision by Counsell to pitch Suter there. The one thing we know about Suter is the higher the leverage situation the lower the performance. You have three live arms out there and you pitch the contact guy?? Incredible . Don't know what else to say.
  6. Brewers need more pitching depth. Don't like Anderson or Lauer at all. How about bringing back Zach Davies when Cubs sell?? He would be a great fit between the hard throwers we have. He know the lay of the land and I trust him to help get us where we know to go by keeping the big three healthy. Shouldn't cost much either as a free agent coming up.
  7. Give Stearns credit for finally getting some help for the pen. Strickland Sanchez and cousins have been a huge boost. Guys that can run it up there still work better than guys who try to trick people.
  8. Would love Gallo of course. Would not mind another starter if it means maybe sending Houser to the pen where I think he really belongs and can be huge. Urias has been good. The question is what happens when Shaw comes back?? Hopefully Counsell doesn't just go back to the well and give him his job back. It is no secret that the offense has been pretty good since he departed.
  9. This Sanchez dude looks legit too. Nice to have some hard throwers out there.
  10. Credit where due this inning doesn't happen without great abs for Bradley and Hiura. If they start hitting this team will cruise to a playoff spot.
  11. The shock value of the JBJ hit is way up there for me this season. Crazy stuff.
  12. Hader has to be getting ready anyway just in case they score so makes sense to bring him on regardless tonight.
  13. Unlike the Brewers hitters Cubs usually make guys throw strikes. Brewers bail guys out far too often.
