  1. Honestly it won't happen but Bauer is the kind of free agent that should have been pinching their pennies for. Take Braun off the books and that's a start. Add him to Burnes and Woodruff then trade Hader for a haul and you should be back in business.
  2. You have to wonder if Yelich is taking this season seriously. I mean I get that he has to be but that's the only explanation for that ab.
  3. The one thing he did do was walk a bit. Now he's swinging at first pitches every time. Guess it happens when you don't play much.
  4. I was thinking about that earlier today actually. Cain looked very good in the few games he played before opting out. I think there's a solid chance he would have rebounded substantially from his down 2019 offensive year. I would say 2-3 wins is a safe, perhaps even conservative estimate. I thought he looked great in the games he played. As a slightly older player a short sprint would have served him well. Defensively he's worth at least one win. Then tack on the offense that we have missed. Throw in a dash of speed I think 3 is pretty close.
  5. At the end of the day as frustrating as it is. Look at the two lineups on the field including on the mound today. One of these two is not like the other. Especially with Hiura having regressed.
  6. Please somebody wake Counsell. Why in the hell would Suarez ever see Claudio. Come on man. This is Strat o Matic stuff.
  7. I don't think I have seen anyone dominate like Williams has this year. I remember the year Doug Jones had with the brewers throwing all changeups and that's the only thing I can recall.
  8. The biggest concern with Urias for me is he just doesn't appear to have any kind of thump in his bat. He seems to be swinging a wiffle ball bat. Ugh.
  9. And really kind of out of nowhere this year. I mean, he looked ok in his few innings last year, but I figured if he even made the team this year, it would be as a mop-up, get-your-feet-wet kind of guy. There was really nothing to point to last year that would indicate the dominance he's shown this year. Agreed. I wonder if we took a poll of who is the bigger surprise this season Burnes or Williams what the take would be. I gotta say Williams
  10. Anderson has been pretty good overall. Have to give him credit. Put him in between Burnes and Woodruff throwing heat and he probably benefits.
  11. As a youth baseball coach I recall coaching third base and having to walk down to the hitter to explain what the goal of the ab was to the hitter. This team appears to need that kind of help with situations. It really is unbelievable.
