  1. Phillies implosion is certainly making things interesting. They actually have a pretty darn good roster. They are a major disappointment.
  2. Dubon's .713 OPS this year isn't exactly screaming "missed opportunity". In comparison, Jace Peterson's OPS currently sits at .787. Granted stats far from tell the whole story, especially this year, but Dubon, at least to me, looks like another "dime a dozen" utility guy. I agree. Still can't figure why Mathias has gotten such a small opportunity. He at least looked the part when he came up.
  3. Look I've been hard on Hiura as anybody but you wait until a week left to sit him?? Now we draw the line in the sand? Let him play it out. At least he can run into one. On the other hand Orlando Arcia's reward for last nights horrible ab is a move up to 6?? This lineup makes you realize this team does not belong in the playoffs even with 8 getting in. It's embarrassing.
  4. Woodruff seems like he pitches just good enough to get beat. Some of it is the offense is godawful but man. He just seems not quite where we thought he would be. Meanwhile all of a sudden Burnes is unhittable. Crazy
  5. I am still upset by the Arcia ab. I just can't believe that after all this time there was zero anticipation that he would not get a hit that he would even put the ball in play. Zero. I just can't understand how you can show no development and still be a big league regular. Oh well the fact is this week will probably end like it should and crew will fall about a game short.
  6. Is Devin Williams the rookie of the year?? I'm going to say yeah and it's not really close. I don't think he wins it though due to his role. It would be a shame but the guy deserves it.
  7. If Braun can't play the field then Vogelbach is sitting. That kinda sucks. He's been great too.
  8. Not just this weekend. He's firmly resurrected his career, and is going to force the Brewers to make a very tough decision on whether they want to pair him with Pina or Narvaez next season. He's had a very nice audition. The only decision is which one is gone next year. Nottingham is in. IMO.
  9. Wrap Braun in bubblewrap whatever it takes but dude has to play every game possible from here on out.
  10. I brought up a few weeks back that it's time to see what we have in Nottingham. I dunno, looks good on D and has a power bat. Call him Bill Schroeder. Looks good to me.
  11. It might time for a discussion on exactly what are we seeing here with Devin Williams. I mean yeah he's good but my goodness is he just Jefferies from 2018 or is he potentially the next Bruce Sutter.
  12. I agree 100 percent. The brewers have always been run a bit like a mom and pop shop where the favorite sons get a free pass but it seems like this year has been worse than ever. I just am shocked at the state of the roster considering where this team was just two years ago. It's hard to believe really.
  13. The simple fact that this Peterson guy is starting every day in a playoff chase is a fireable offense. I'm blaming Stearns for having an embarrassing roster but Counsell doesn't have to play him. Eric Sogard thinks Jaye Peterson sucks.
  14. Last night someone said that should be Jace Peterson last ab. Counsell is not buying it. He's the new Sogard.
  15. Counsell needs to be asked tough questions but won't be. It has the feel of a guy who is pissed at his boss and is just going to sit back and let the office fall apart and say well I told you. Somethings up. Don't be shocked if this offseason turns into a finger pointing situation.
  16. Counsell needs to be asked tough questions but won't be. It has the feel of a guy who is pissed at his boss and is just going to sit back and let the office fall apart and say well I told you. Somethings up. Don't be shocked if this offseason turns into a finger pointing situation.

  18. It's fitting that Peterson strikes out to end it. He sucks and so does this team. Counsell is not managing. He's along for the ride. Sad.

  21. The unwillingness to bunt there with a light hitting player is enough to let you know that this team isn't doing what it takes to win. The odds of this team getting a hit there was just about zero.
