  1. Where would Counsell go? Nobody else is likely to offer him a manager’s job and I don’t see him leaving to take a coaching job. I think it’s more likely that he would be fired than leave voluntarily, and I doubt if he will be fired. Counsell is considered a top 5 manager. He would be hired in about 15 minutes.
  2. He wants to win. If he and Stearns aren't on the same page then it could be an issue.
  3. I would not be surprised if Counsell decides to go somewhere else next year if Stearns doesn't want to address the pitching this off season. We know Counsell isn't Stearns hire and although they seem to get along fine we don't know whose idea this past off season was. Counsell is so punch drunk from this bullpen he has to demand resources be spent. if Stearns says lets go cheap with young guys and doesn't get real help ask to be set free. The guy would have a job the next day.
  4. Our best reliever has been Matt Albers. Checks box era is now 4.58. That's about right.
  5. Molina is the kind of guy who enjoys the moment and wants to turn the knife. Who do the brewers have that comes across that way?? Nobody since maybe Prince?
  6. If you are a smart pitcher you are in very good shape against the brewers. Velocity and mistake makers beware. Brent Suter must be wishing he could pitch against us. We would never score.
  7. Fowler didn't read the scouting report that Junior must walk the leadoff man.
  8. Yeah. The kid was so hot when he got called up and of course sits four or five days a week. Pinch hits lefty vs lefty a bunch and now is struggling. Brewers baseball. Catch it!!
  9. Sorta, but 2011 was really more of our shot. We may have objectively had the best MLB team that year. Last year we definitely didn't. True but having game 7 at home as well as a very winnable game 5 loss in extra innings makes that one pretty tough to swallow.
  10. Brewers v Cards still always has that Crusher v Scrap Iron Kadasky feel from the old wrestling days. Scrap will get a punch or two in of course but the Crusher is just going to come alive at smash old scrap in the end. We will look back on that game 7 loss for a long long time and know that was our shot. Hope the bucks don't meet the same fate this coming season.
  11. The focus must turn to the future in my opinion. You have to find out what is what for next year. This team has so many questions to answer. Shaw is going to have to get a chance to see if he can be resurrected or if he's Chris Davis. Same with Nelson. I hope we don't waste time with the pipe dream of one extra game and go into the off season with zero answers and a billion questions. Play Grisham and see if he's for real. Let's go.
  12. Faria Nelson Suter Peralta Shaw Saladino Nottingham Gamel
  13. There is a point where u have to be amazed by what this guy is doing. Great job by him. This what I hoped Nelson would look like. Sept 1 for him for sure.
  14. If you don't line up your lefties against this team you aren't trying to win. It is unbelievable.
  15. He's gotta be hurt. I can't think of another explanation. If he hits in the 9th it's going to be a question that needs to be asked.
  16. When the game comes down to Thames vs. A lefty you are in a tough spot. Two huge pinch hit spots and you end up lefty lefty both times. Perez still waiting.
