  1. Predictable actually. Overmanaging is as bad as doing nothing Would rather see Hader with nobody on considering he can't keep the ball in the park. Oh well.
  2. I think with Grandal, you just have to trot him out there and hope he can turn it around. I'm not sure it does him much good to platoon or miss time. It might be somewhat better in the short term to play Pina against lefties and Braun at 1b, but obviously you get worse defensively at 1b and that probably is a negative impact on Grandal over the next month when he inevitably faces LH relievers late in games. Grandal is struggling on both sides of the plate right now, but I think you have to roll with him and hope he can find his early season magic. Hey, for once one of my comments aged well!!!!!! We all have one or two that do sometimes lol!!
  3. Then they get Lucroy for free. It's been a rough year for Stearns. He needs to self reflect. He needs to be better. He has done a great job but this year has been a disaster. Well, Lucroy was free for a reason. He's just not good anymore. Also, how was Stearns going to do anything about that? Lucroy wasn't going to sign with the Brewers to be the #3. Kinda funny that the Cubs have cycled through the Brewers 2012-2016 catching depth chart. I wonder what Nevin Ashley and Matt Pagnozzi are up to? You are right. That's not on Stearns. Just a big get for them even though Caratini seems pretty good.

  5. Damm shame brewers wasting another Cubs loss. The season is going to be a story of missed opportunities.
  6. The guy was a legit star last year. If they can get his bat back to league average, while maintaining his elite defense, it's a good contract. That is a big if though. Betting on an age 34 bat resurrection is not a good bet. Faria is not impressive. Game over.
  7. The flipside to Grisham taking playing time is Gamel seems in a funk. Don't really blame him but dude is kinda useless right now.
  8. I brought that up earlier and was lambasted. It's 100% the truth, though. This lineup may have been balanced in theory, but it has never advanced beyond theoretical. They are facing a guy who has struggled for two months right now, and are looking horrible. Two days after being shut-out by an actual decent lefty. Yeah, that's an issue. I was bashed on this issue real early this season. You could see it coming as soon as Aguillar went south but some here were slow on the acknowledgement.
  9. Is there a more blah offensive player this season than Cain? No pop low ob little speed. Him leading off this season has to have cost the brewers a couple games this season easy.
  10. I've questioned this multiple times. Don't know what they gave up but letting your rival get the thing you needed most is unacceptable.
  11. When the Brewers line up against teams like the Twins they are up against it unless the pitching is going to hold them down. The bats are just not strong enough at this point and expecting different is foolish. Throw a lefty and it gets even worse.
