  1. Anyone hear any news on Woodruff? Never thought I would say this but super excited to see Suter back. I think he gives us something they need and brings life to clubhouse.
  2. Phillies. Still have to have the goal of the division in mind. You're only a couple out and play the Cubs 7 more times. The WC play in game is such a crap shoot in itself, plus if you win you play LAD. Get the division and you avoid all that. Agree. Brewers need to win division as they don't set up well for 1 game scenario. Try to defend your crown.
  3. The cardinals are the one. Look at the schedules. We are going to have to win the series against the cardinals to make the playoffs. Pirates blowing this today hurts. So we lose a game this weekend. And now they have the royals and we get the twins. The Mets schedule gets really tough I knew that the Pirates were in the dumpster, but I hadn’t focused on how bad it was. They went into the All Star break feeling pretty good about themselves after winning 3 of 4 from the Cubs and 2 of 3 from the Brewers to pull within 2.5 games of first place. Assuming they don’t come back today after blowing a 4 run lead in the seventh inning they have gone 4-24 since then. Now THAT is REALLY bad. Hurdle been there forever. It's time for them to move on. They are terrible and have basically quit.
  4. Definitely not the Cubs. Definitely not the Mets or Nats. Give me Phillies or Cards. Any lefty we are toast.
  5. I have said before in terms of resources there are few teams that are as out of balance more than the brewers. 88 percent of there payroll is spent on bats. This means you expect them to be your backbone day in and day out. You are hitching your wagon to the lineup to score and take pressure off the pitching. This is not working as planned. The schedule coming up is brutal in terms of offensive teams that can score. Yelich out is bad news. Without him they are way below average.
  6. The fact that this team cannot consistently score 4-5 runs z game is ridiculous. Watching teams like Yankees and Astros even the Twins and they are just smashing the ball up and down the lineup. I know our guys are getting up in years like Braun and Cain but questions need to be asked at seasons end. If you are going to spend all your resources on bats you can't be this weak offensively.
  7. Yelich needs to start stretching. You can't lose 1-0 and him not swing at least once.
  8. I was thinking we would see Arcia there. Switch Perez to right field. One pitch. Less than ideal ab.
  9. We shall see if Brewers are smart enough to try to drive the pitch count over 100 this inning. 83 to start.
  10. With Grandal at first and Hiura at second I'd hit every ball to the right and run hard. Chances are 50/50.
  11. And there it is. Lyles you have to be perfect with today's offense.
  12. I keep hearing how brewers ops is the same righty vs lefty so there really is no issue. If you watch the quality of the at bats there is no comparison. This team can't hit lefties. I don't care what the ops says. With Moose neutralized Grandal turned around Pina and Cain below par and Perez/Arcia in there they just are hoping for Hiura to have a big day. Minor is tough but it's more than that.
  13. There is no way Burnes should be brought back at this point. He hasn't earned the promotion and we can afford to have him pitching in games that matter. Looking forward to Suter though.
  14. Mad props to Grisham. It seemed like even though he was young for his leagues he just wasn't going to make it. I was dead wrong and glad about it. He is playing his way into core status.
  15. Who the heck is Aquino? Reds are going to be pretty good for a while. Now about that Joey Votto contract.
  16. With the brewers currently holding the wildcard I was thinking who in the world are the brewers going to pitch in this game if need be? If Woodruff wasn't hurt he would be the choice if available but assuming he isn't? We all want this team to make it but realistically all this work for one game on the road is going to be very tough. I'm guessing Gio just for veteran guile?
  17. This move is overdue. Not that Perez is any good but they needed his skill set more. Hopefully we don't start seeing him starting games soon. Just need a bench bat against lefties.
