  1. This bullpen is amazing. I won't upset anyone by bringing up the facts that are in evidence.
  2. The guy is going to get a ton of attention if this keeps up. Has to be a top 5 prospect soon.
  3. Wilson should not be on this team right now. Dfa and nobody grabs him. If he wants to stick around so be it. Rather see what Taylor Williams is up to.
  4. Petricka gets cut loose and they keep Wilson? I never understand decisions made with anything less than the results on the field. Dude is terrible.
  5. Grandal has been a good sign. The problem is Moose tied up a lot of dough. I would have tried to get by at second and spent his money on pitching.
  6. The baserunning of this team could be as bad as the pitching. Fitting end.
  7. Cain down to 273? The offense in a funk has lots to do with him being down.
  8. Cubs and Cardinals have to both be pinching themselves thinking these guys are rolling with those bums? Man. Thank God the Bucks are playing some ball.
  9. A guy gets released or dfa by one team yet continues to find himself in high leverage situations with another. Why? I just don't get it. Can't blame Counsell. He has nothing to work with.
  10. Schedule has done them zero favors that's for sure.
  11. Just another thought. Bucks have 5th highest payroll at 130million. Isn't that what the Brewers are spending on 25 guys? How can the Bucks be a top 5 NBA payroll in the same market as the Crew and we keep hearing they have no money to add the arms they need. Different sports of course but it's interesting when people bring up the limited resources take. Bucks seem to have realized that it takes spending money to make it. Hope the Brewers realize this season is going off the rails if nothing is done.
  12. I know its easy to take the "Well, it's not my money" philosophy, but the money this team has available to make outside acquisitions is still limited. They need to develop their own talent. I'd love to see them win a World Series in the next 2-3 years, but I'd also like to see a team that is a contender for the next decade, too. When in the MA era have they been able to do that? Every year it is we have to develop our own talent and never do it. This team has to win now. They have to spend. Preach bro.
  13. The question is limited by what? Not wanting to spend profits? Going into the red? It's all about how much do they have to spend and still be healthy. You cannot tell me one more piece and they are in financial strain. I don't buy it. On the other try being 8 or 9 out come August. That's money you will never get back due to empty seats. Your eyes aren't lying. This staff is brutal.
  14. Is it just me or does it seem like Brewers give up insane amounts of 0-2 hits? Young pitching I guess.
  15. IMO the issue is: People on this site trust David Stearns to build a quality pen on the cheap. Because that’s Stearns M/O. People on this site love Mark Attanasio and believe when he said we’re “all in”and have done what we can do budget wise other than at the trade deadline, believe him with all of their heart and minds. I call it small-marketitis, with blind trust mixed in. I agree with you 100 percent. It's a shame. You have struggled for 30 years to develop pitching and now all of a sudden in one year you think you have developed three?? It makes zero sense from any point of view as a fan of this team. The chance this was going to work out well was slim to none.
  16. Enough already. Thames has 37abs. 4 hr 11rbi. Jesus Aguilar has 67abs. 0 hrs 4rbi batting 136. This is not a bonus baby who is a 4 time all star. The guy barely made the team last year and was dfa three years ago. The brewers saved him and were rewarded with a great HALF a season. Regrettably they are acting as if he is a proven all star with a track record to match. Thames needs to play every day until we see he can't cut it. The guy is consistently coming up clutch in big spots and deserves a chance in my opinion. We don't need to get more left handed but this team's pitching demands the lineup be maxed out. If Aguilar figures it out great but enough with the Ryan Braun career achievement lineup spot. He hasn't hit since the home run derby.
  17. It is too bad that people still want to bury their heads in the sand regarding the pitching. Hader is a great piece but needs help. Oh well I won't bring up you know who.
  18. With Vizcaino hurt I would bet on Kimbrel ending up on the Braves. You can't bring up Kimbrel on this forum. I was told the topic is boring and unnecessary.
  19. Kimbrel has his own thread in the Rumors/Transactions section. It has hundreds of posts. You'd love it. See I'm ignoring you
