    Take it as a grain of salt, but Hoffman was darn good away in 08. (Only 15 2/3rds of an inning) but converted 14 of 15 and gave up one homer.

    but I still would not want him because his only year as MLB player was not good. Man I wish we had some more players who arent good, with a .350+ OBP with decent hitting, a lefty, and who are plus defenders.

    While I know that Hart is way cheaper, Making under 1 million in 2008, I also know that from June on he couldnt hit (Did hit .299 in August, but also only had an OBP of .310, 3 walks in the whole month) or take a walk for his life. Hart only had a .300 OBP I do realize Fukudome followed the same trend, but he ended up with a higher obp by .59, ops is a great stat but we need a lefty hitter with obp. Both of which Hart doesnt have.

    Hart fell off this year, and Fukudome ended up with a better year. I dont understand the Fuku bashing. Maybe because he slid away, but many rookies do that (I know he played in Japan so the rookie excuse isnt as well used) but he was still a rookie. I would love him on our team, have you seen his arm? Makes Hart look like Pierre. Trade them Mark Rodgers or someone who could make it but most likely will be a backup and eat the salary. Then trade Hart or Cameron and have the one left over play center.
