Chase looked fantastic yesterday. He kept the ball DOWN. When he missed, he missed just a bit, and it was off the plate or further down. THAT is how you have to miss when you miss. That was the best pitched game we have seen from a starter this year. Also, as I stated in the IGT, letting him go out for the 7th inning will only help him long term confidence wise.

I would argue that they are quite poorly run. Going into the year don't you think the market for Machado would have been more (with him having a full year for a team as opposed to a couple months) valuable? The O's gave a monster contract to a K machine in Chris Davis, and never really rebuild, but instead make strange decisions and in the division they are in.... doesn't play out well. I just think if they wanted Arcia as part of a deal (rental) for Machado, i would seriously consider it. I think the short term its a HUGE boost, but also long term, we could be ridding ourselves of a guy who may be glove only. Of course you run the risk of a late bloomer, but... if Machado brings us a deep playoff run, wouldn't that have a positive long term affect as well? Marco may be as good as Arcia already, thus could open 2019 at SS... and think about this... if you deal Arcia (again, a long shot O's even want him), don't you think that would lead Turang to signing possibly seeing a clearer path to the show? Just thinking outside the box here is all.... If if's and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a merry christmas....

Would any of you guys be opposed to sending him for Machado in a package ? Being a rental and all.. curious what everyone thinks. I personally would because I don’t believe he’s the long term solution offensively. And defensively he’s good but does make some of the simple errors that will get you to hit your head on a wall.

Maybe the Brewers wives 10-3 drubbing of the Cubs wives has reversed the players psyche. If the Brewers go on to dominate the series for the remainder of the year I think it will be the only logical conclusion we can draw. Can the Brewers Wives win be a second coming of the Brant Brown game ?!?? Begin a wicket tailspin for the Cubs? Oh please please please baseball gods !

Pretty sure this team bounced off the mat .. now this is where we need to swing this into momentum and take a series from the Cubs tomorrow. It’s not a ‘must win’ this early in the year but it would pay dividends as the year progresses , just like letting Chase go pitch the 7th will for him... And two forgotten bullpen pieces - Williams and Barnes- you forget how electric their stuff is with JJ CK and Hader... my goodness

Arcia 2-0 on 2 pitches not close and he swings wildly to foul tip one , then beats one into the grass in front of the mound. Ugh. Chatwood trying to pitch around him lol Chase is taking better hacks at this point. Yikes!

Drool that would be soooooo nice! And hopefully after Miller gets a quick few games at short they bring him up! Rewatched that Cain play and that was heads up communication and thinking there. Baseball smarts mixed with overall talent could very well age well. Those plays are what they saw in giving him as long as they did.
