  1. Looking back, it's not the number of posts that were complaining about something, it's that the ratio of positive("hooray") posts compared to negative posts seemed to be about 1:20, which struck me as odd when we never trailed in the game. I too would have had a couple posts on bad baserunning and/or fielding, but to me the game had more pluses than minuses, as it is with most victories.
  2. This was the whiniest game thread I've ever read. If I hadn't watched the game I'd have thought the Crew had lost by looking at this thread. Sure the Brewers didn't play great today, but I mean we just took a series..... on the road!
  3. I know it's not scientific and such, but the JS did a poll a few weeks back about this. It was: When you watch a Brewer game, who do you listen to? 53% said Daron and Bill 47% said Uke and Powell
  4. This game will also mark the first ever meeting between the D-Rays and Brewers. After tonight the Brewers will have played all 29 current MLB teams.

  6. Why?... He stunk every year since the Brewers traded him away, and for big time dollars to boot. 2000: .326/.392/.477 with 115 RBI, 111 Runs, 53 2Bs and 11 HRs Granted, that was at Coors for 81 games, but still... And I too will be at the game, hope to see Cappy dominate the Octogenarian Yankees.
  7. What's going on? It's a day game after a night game! Why isn't Moeller in there? Come on Ned, I need my fix of high fastballs on every 2 strike pitch Obie and Co throws and countless breaking stuff for Turnbow should we have a lead in the 9th! Where's the consistancy Ned? Geez....
  8. Yeah, Remember Wandy from last week? I don't like facing these no name guys.
  9. Obie will go 7 innings giving up a couple runs. Of course he'll get the loss as the Brewers will score one run on a Jenks RBI double.
  10. CARLOS! 2-0 Crew! Sounds like a good number of Crew fans at the dome.
  11. After the game, perceptions of the squad will change and the bitter pessimism of the past week will be replaced by an unbridled optimism. The Jenkins bashers will become Jenkins lovers and the complaining majority will all have smiles on their faces. Butch's job will remain safe and Ned will win over our hearts with some brilliant in-game strategy. While I agree there's a lot of flip flopping of feelings about the team on the board, I don't think one game will make this road trip feel much better. It would be like stepping in dog poo and then spraying your shoe with air freshener. Sure it doesn't smell as bad, but the poo is still there. Now, if they take the next two and take a couple from the Rockies, then they will wipe it off and people will be professing their love for the Crew.
  12. go team. I smell yet another terrible display by the visitors.

  14. I just want the Crew to go out there today and just pound the most annoying pitcher in the game. I don't care how they do it or who does it, I just want to see that guy get crushed.
  15. Crew 8 sCrUBS 4 The Horse goes "ya-ya", 3T0 gets a hat trick(K, BB, HR), Cappy gives up 3 solo shots over 6 innings.
  16. Take both games, and nobody cares. Why do people even look at the ST records?
  17. Yeah I'm sure it doesn't cost them anything to produce like it does during the regular season. I'm sure all the people involved are doing it for free and the telephone and television companies are not charging for their services. Greedy MLB just wants you to pay a fraction of a penny for each game so they can just fill pay for reporters like Adam Mcalvy (who probably just mails in his columns that he downloads from previous years and changes the names) or complete access to all the teams. Yeah those greedy bastards! Wow, sorry for not being clear in my last post. I REALLY deserved to be mocked for making such an egregious error. If McCalvy and Co pushed for it to be free and apparently got the nod that it was indeed going to be free I don't see why the games shouldn't be free.
  18. I have no desire to listen to other team's games during the regular season so paying $15 for a month of Spring Training games is ridiculous. There is no reason why Spring Training webcasts are not available to the general public.
  19. Getting swept today would be OK with me. These games have no meaning other than individual performance. Yeah it's great to win these games and I get pumped when the Crew does win, but they mean nothing in the end.
  20. If nobody agrees with me then forget it and I am a loser. I agree with you, loser. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  21. This is allegedly the line-up according to Billy Sample on MLB radio. I'll believe Lee when I hear it, since he's supposed to be gone until Friday. The MJS said Lee's wife called him and told him to stay in AZ another day and that he could see action today. So I wouldn't doubt that he's in the lineup.
  22. I could get used to this thing they call "offense". Dozen - 5 Crew
  23. Enrique Cruz with a crushed Grand Slam? W-W-W-WHAT?!? 9-4 Crew.
  24. I really am sick of Magruder. He looked poor in his stint in Milwaukee last year. Then on Friday he made two errors that accounted for 6-7 of Oakland's 8 runs. Not saying he's terrible, but say he's look aweful whenever I've seen him play. On a side note, he did have two nice hits on Friday, but no way you can overlook the mistakes defensively I'm not too high on Magruder either. He seems to be a liability in the field and IMO, is a AAAA player who is maybe a slight step up offensively compared to a Durrington.
  25. The game IS on TMJ according to today's MJS.
