    If Pete Rose ran out this lineup the rumors would never end. I'm almost convinced Yost threw the game. Bill Hall as the cleanup hitter? Wes Helms and Trent Durrington at the corners? Sickening.

    i have a question though. on both the brady clark (?) double and the diving catch by geoff jenkins, both outfielders seemed unable to get a read on the ball. was this due to the sun shining through the glass panels? I was in the LF bleachers and had a good angle on both plays. The sun didn't leave that area until about the 4th inning so it's possible that the sun made it more difficult to read.

    Seriously, how hard is it to say Kolb? Well, the Houston Cougars QB has that last name but he pronounces it "Cobb". Not defending the lameness that is ESPN, but I've seen Kolb pronouced a few ways.

    I think this was the biggest win of the year so far. It wasn't as dramatic as the 9-0 game or the 5-0 game or even that back and forth Minnesota game at Miller Park. However, the Crew had to get back on the right track and they did just that against a tough team in front of a charged up crowd(the Brewers won in front of a big crowd? That doesn't happen much). Now hopefully Victor(y) can win us another series tomorrow night against Prior.

    If they're going to be in the post-season... this is something that the club has to learn today. Game six of the NLCS against the Scrubs is not the time to learn that. Settle down. To even suggest that the Crew is going to be in the NLCS this year is foolish. The Crew got beat by a great start from Santana, I don't think the Twins were "on the ropes" at any time today, although a few hits with RISP would have been nice. We won another series, why complain?

    There we go Billy! "Productive out" by Grieve(somewhat unlucky as it hit the rubber), that's a phrase I don't mind hearing with a runner at third and less than 2 outs.

    I'm pleased with the road trip. We didn't play well in 7 or 8 of the 9 games yet we come home with 4 wins. Yeah, we should've won last night but lets not go overboard. When the bats aren't hot, you're gonna lose tough games.

    I'm a little surprised at the lack of Obie-love in this thread. He's been impressive all night, getting everyone to pound it into the ground. He's been ahead of almost everyone, he's clearly in control. And as I type, he starts hanging em a little. Gotta be careful Wes.
