  1. They get a nice 3B prospect and a Chase is a player that I believe will thrive in their park who they can flip for more prospects at the deadline or next offseason. Erceg isn't that great of a prospect as a recent publication said he might be more of a pitcher. in the future Why would the Giants want to pay an expensive player in the hopes of getting prospects when they could just trade him for actual prospects? Erceg is still listed anywhere for 4-8 on our top prospect lists depending on where you looks with average to a-average hitting tools and plus defense. Anderson is far from expensive when you factor in he has accumulated 5.2 bWAR over the last 2 years and is controlled for 3 more years at under 10M per. He had a 3% jump in his HR/FB compared to his career average which will only be helped by playing in ATT park Over those same years Bumgarner has accumulated a 5.5 bWAR and is only controlled for 1 more year. Now, all that being said, obviously Bumgarner is the better pitcher, but when you factor in Chase’s production, contract, and park improvement, the case can be made that Chase is a good option for the giants if they are headed toward a quick retool as opposed to a full year down.

  3. Trades: Eric Thames & Adrian Houser for Sonny Gray Chase Anderson & Lucas Erceg for Madison Bumgarner Jesus Aguilar, Zack Brown, & Keon Broxton for Paul Goldschmidt Free Agents: Derek Dietrich - 1/3m Zach Duke - 1/2.5m Lineup: Cain - CF Yelich - RF Goldschmidt - 1B Shaw - 3B Braun/Santana - LF Dietrich/Perez - 2B Pina - C Arcia - SS Bench: Dubon, Nottingham, Santana, Perez Rotation: Bumgarner, Chacin, Burnes, Gray, Davies/Peralta Bullpen: Hader, Knebel, Jeffress, Woodruff, Albers, Guerra, Duke
  4. Wow, that is a slam dunk for the Mets if Diaz is also included.
  5. Greinke's full no-trade list, per a baseball source: - Orioles - Red Sox - Reds - Rockies - Tigers - Yankees - Athletics - Padres - Giants - Cardinals - Blue Jays - Angels - Dodgers - Twins - Phillies Takes almost all big market teams out of the field for a salary dump with the exception of the Nationals & Mets.
  6. Let’s get wild. Ray, Anderson, & Lutz For Cano & Diaz followed by Hiura, Erceg, & Woodruff For Syndergard Lineup: Cain Cano Yelich Aggy Shaw Braun Pina Arcia SP: Thor Chacin Burnes Peralta Davies/Nelson BP: Diaz Hader Knebel Jeffress Totally unrealistic and mortgages future, but fun to think about.
  7. Trading Thames and resigning Moose gives you a lot of platoon/positional flexibility 1B: Aggy (130g) Shaw (32g) 2B: Huira (90g) Shaw (55g) Perez (17g) 3B: Moose (120g) Shaw (42g) SS: Arcia (120g) Dubon (42g)
  8. Completely agree with the bolded! Slow news until the winter meetings has me reaching for things to talk about!
  9. Rank organizational trade value based on their value to YOU. Factoring control/contract/production/potential. 1. Yelich 2. Hader 3. Cain 4. Huira 5. Burnes 6. Aguilar 7. Arcia 8. Shaw 9. Chacin 10. Jeffress 11. Woodruff 12. Peralta 13. Knebel 14. Ray 15. Nelson 16. Santana 17. Dubon 18. Turang 19. Brown 20. Lutz
  10. I would be interested in a Anderson & Brown for Greinke & 15M. Brings down Greinke to 3/90 and essentially makes him 3/65 when you factor in the offsetting Anderson 3/25.
  11. Rosenthal reporting: #Padres have discussed a trade with #Mariners in which they would acquire SS Jean Segura and RHP Mike Leake for OF Wil Myers, sources tell The Athletic. Leake would need to waive his no-trade clause for deal to occur, and also is weighing other potential options, one source says.
  12. ESPN has a package of Yordan Alvarez, JB Bukaukas, Framber Valdez from Houston for Realmuto A similar package from us would be Huira, Brown, & Diplan. If you didn’t wants to give up Huira, then you’re looking at Ray, Peralta, Diplan.
  13. Lowrie at 2/18 would be a great get for this team. He starts at 2B this year and moves into the RH side of a 3B platoon when Huira is ready while still getting spot starts at 2B. This would allow you to move/non-tender Perez and use Dubon as your primary backup SS/2B. He has also played some 1B and can be a LH option there if we can find a taker for Thames.
