  2. I know I saw a report that the Mets checked in on Lauer and Anderson. If paired with a SP addition, would be a huge get for the Crew.
  3. My buddy sent it to me, but I can’t find any tweets or QT about it, so I think it’s best to call it a fake.
  4. Tweeted then deleted
  5. Doesn't Arcia still have an option? Or am I finding outdated information?
  6. vs RHP (3 year OPS) 2B - Wong (.759) CF - Cain (.715) LF - Yelich (1.018) 1B - Hiura (.896) C - Narvaez (.802 3B - Shaw (.790) RF - Bradley Jr (.777) SS - Urias (.545) vs LHP (3 year OPS) CF - Cain (.862) LF - Yelich (.975) 1B - Hiura (.679) RF - Garcia (.806) C - Pina (.752) SS - Urias (.873) 3B - Robertson (.749) 2B - Wong (.681)
  7. 3 year OPS splits and ERA/FIP (SP/RP splits) for our possible opening day 26-man:
  8. It kind of got lost in the shuffle a little bit. Only thing that hurts his chances is that he is a RHH and we have Urias/Robertson ahead of him to get ABs at the present time. It's interesting how our brains work with guys like this. If we had a 25 y/o in our alternate side last year that had a 271/359/942 slash line at AAA in 2018-19 we would have a 10 page thread begging the Brewers to call him up. But since he a was a under the radar signing to a minor league deal we tend to write him off. I'm guilty of it too. Maybe this is the next diamond in the rough that Stearns finds and is the next Aguilar/McGehee, or maybe hes Freitas 2.0, but either way its signings like these that get our armchair GM brains churning.
  9. I don't think he's that bad. This is 2021. Lots of big strikeout guys. He posted impressive numbers at AAA in 2019. Brewers lack hitters in upper minors. Green has a chance assuming they sign a guy like Franco for just one year. So did Eric Sogard. 2019 the juiced minor league ball. Ruined a guy like Zach Brown and Corbin Burnes. Don't read to much in to that impressive power numbers. 2018 numbers between AA/AAA: 20 HR, 75 RBI, 35 2B .281/.356/.888 While 19 seems like a bump for everyone, he posted solid power/OBP skills the year prior. He is at worst the best 3B "prospect" we have in our system, and he has the potential to be a MLB contributor if we don't add another corner IF and injuries pop up.
  10. I follow your logic 100% and think you may be right, but don't we also have a big question mark if we keep Hiura and assume he can play first as well? Moving from 2B to 1B shouldn't be all the difficult especially playing next to a gold glover at 2B. Big question is will they add someone like a Brad Miller to mix in at 3B with Robertson/Urias. Ramirez is a long shot. I think Miller makes a ton of sense to fill out the roster. He's hit .825 vs RHP the last 3 years including his rough tenure with the Crew. Him and Robertson (.749) or Urias (.873) pair really well together as a platoon at 3B and we'd always have 2 nice UTL guy on the bench.
  11. 3 years splits for Brewers projected lineup (w/DH)
  12. Josh Hader to NYM Jose Ramirez to MKE Keston Hiura, Mario Feliciano, Hedbert Perez, & Brett Baty to CLE
  13. 2018-2020 MLB AVG 2B OPS: 714 18: 714 19: 737 20: 692 2018-2020 Wong OPS: 742 18: 720 19: 784 20: 675 Elite defensive 2B and over the last 3 years (age 27-30) he has been a better than average bat in 2 of those 3 years. Love the signing
  14. Cron, yes. Miller, no. Miller is way too similar to Eric Sogard to me. Former Brewer coming off two years better than expected since he left, only to (likely) stink upon return. I'd rather have Robertson and Urias get 3B. While there are similarities, Miller has crushed RHP since leaving MKE. .939 vs RHP in 2019 and .828 in 2020. Between Miller and Robertson we would have 2 guys that complement each other very well as our 3B platoon, and both have a little positional flexibility on their bench days.
  15. Trade Ashby and Ward for Adam Frazier Sign CJ Cron (1/4m) and Brad Miller (2/8m) vs RHP (3yr OPS) CF Lorenzo Cain 0.715 RF Adam Frazier 0.786 LF Christian Yelich 1.018 2B Keston Hiura 0.896 DH Dan Vogelbach 0.825 1B CJ Cron 0.740 3B Brad Miller 0.825 C Omar Narvaez 0.802 SS Luis Urias 0.545 Bench: C Manny Pina 0.694 OF Billy McKinney 0.758 IF Daniel Robertson 0.703 OF Avisail Garcia 0.720 vs LHP (3yr OPS) CF Lorenzo Cain 0.862 3B Daniel Robertson 0.749 LF Christian Yelich 0.975 DH Keston Hiura 0.679 RF Avasail Garcia 0.806 C Manny Pina 0.752 1B CJ Cron 0.957 2B Adam Frazier 0.625 SS Luis Urias 0.873 Bench: OF Billy McKinney 0.599 IF Brad Miller 0.638 1B Dan Vogelbach 0.541 C Omar Narvaez 0.633
  16. Ya had to do it. The Brewerfan toss in Ray trade idea. Can't dislike the yankee fans trade ideas for Hader now that you done so. I thought it was a rule to include Ray in any trade? Honestly though, he would be the type of guy I would take a chance on if I was in the Pirates position. High draft pick with hopes that he can figure it out to become at least a platoon MLB bat.
  17. Go get Frazier and Moran in the same deal. Plugs 2 holes for the next 2 years. Adam Frazier and Colin Moran for Aaron Ashby, Jefferson Quero, and Corey Ray Sign Gyorko back at 2.5m C - Narvaez/Pina 1B - Gyorko/Vogelbach 2B - Hiura/Frazier SS - Arcia 3B - Moran/Urias LF - Yelich CF - Cain RF - Garcia/Frazier If they add a DH then Hiura and Vogelbach can work their and Frazier becomes a primary 2B with Urias
  18. 1. Trade Josh Hader and Prospect (15-20) to Mets for JD Davis and Joey Luchessi 2. Trade Adrian Houser and Avisail Garcia to BOS for Andrew Benintendi 3. Trade Omar Narvaez to NYY for Jonahan Loaisiga 4. Sign Tommy La Stella (3yrs/$27MM) Payroll ($78.05MM) Rotation: Woodruff, Burnes, Loaisiga, Lindblom and Luchessi ($10.2MM) Bullpen: Williams, Yardley, Suter, Topa, Peralta, Rasmussen, Black, Lauer ($6.1MM) Lineup: Cain, La Stella, Yelich, Hiura, Davis, Benintendi, Pina, Arcia ($50.15MM) Bench: Nottingham, Urias, Taylor, Robertson, Vogelbach ($4.1MM) Deferrals/Buyouts: ($7.5MM)
  19. Quantity over quality trade. Might seem underwhelming, but the RP market is starting to bleek. LAD: Josh Hader MIL: Edwin Rios, Adam Koralek, Mitch White (9), DJ Peters (11), & Zach McKinstry (18) Dodgers deal from their depth to get a high end BP piece. A Brewers get their 5 year 1B who fits their O profile, LH BP piece, potential 3/4 starter, future Garcia replacement, and a LH super utility player. White and Peters immediately enter our top 10 prospects to bolster our farm system.
  20. Brewers get: AJ Puk & Sheldon Neuse A's get: Josh Hader and Corey Ray Brewers get a high upside LHP and a young option at 3B while the A's get their Hendriks replacement and an upside OF if he can put it all together.
