  1. When I hit puberty the brewers won like 60 games
  2. Don’t need Spangenberg to take off, teams overdue to get hot. Even without Woody, this rotation is very very solid. Things are happening down below that’s getting me excited, even more than I already was, for the September bullpen. Can’t wait, repeat of last year imminent. That’s called puberty. It doesn’t necessarily coincide with the brewers going on a run

  5. What would you guess the success rate of such an attempt to be for someone with Ryan Braun’s present day speed? I would guess it’s much, much lower than swinging for a base hit. It depends on where the defense is. If they are way back you really don’t need to be fast. Problem is you can’t bunt it back to the pitcher
  6. Every low pitch shouldn’t be a home run though. Come on. This is terrible. He’s an embarassment at this point. It’s like bringing in Barnes
  7. To be fair. I overreached with the word sucked. Think of it like this. Stearns had a low percentage hand. I didn’t see the point of putting more money in the pot Sometimes it’s better to just tell the guys you have to buck up and do their job. Instead
  8. I have been pleasantly surprised with Thames season. I really didn’t want him back this year. He’s helped while Aguilar went into the tank. He’s done his job this year. So far
  9. Better than your weird low payroll team big name pitcher acquisition at all costs scheme. This is simply the best thing I’ve seen on here for a bit. I think it’s a bad ventriloquist act
  10. Off the top of my head, Evan Gattis and Jose Bautista. Danny Valencia. Matt Holliday. Brandon Phillips. Ryan Rua. In essense, replacement-level 1B options, like what Aguilar is. Some of those guys are 75 years old
  11. When a team like the Rays is willing to give you one of their pitchers for a struggling, non-versatile 1B, be very suspicious. I'm sort of surprised a struggling, non-versatile 1B was worth much of anything, actually. Faria may not be much, but there are guys Aguilar's caliber out there for free. Who? I’d pick them up then
  12. Because this team sucks. People need to get this through their head so we don’t need to go through this every night. Why would you invest a ton of money in the titanic. It would be like a goof investing in Kodak after the iPhone came out I honestly don’t know why we gave any assets away in July. Maybe he felt he had to appease message boards
  13. The guy was a legit star last year. If they can get his bat back to league average, while maintaining his elite defense, it's a good contract. That is a big if though. Betting on an age 34 bat resurrection is not a good bet. Faria is not impressive. Game over. At this point I would advocate giving him what the same rejuvenation medicines Barry bonds was taking in his late 30s. That might be the only chance we have
