  1. At this point. Just bunt the guy to third. These hitters haven’t earned the right anymore They ****** suck at this
  2. So where is the demarcation when this team goes from bad to really bad It’s got to be getting close
  3. Arcia is a very good glove man that has shown plenty of flashes with the bat ... but, I will admit he is frustrating in that he seems to be slipping at the plate instead of getting better ... the guy just seems afraid of the pitched ball by the way his hips/butt always are going towards 3rd base on his swings. He does not step into pitches with any sort of confidence or authority all too often. Do you hear him scream anytime the pitched ball gets close to him? Jose Iglesias should have been signed last offseason, will be more expensive this coming season to sign, but he’s worth it, besides GG defense, leads all of baseball with 2 Strike hitting, hustles down the line with everything he has, team leader. I can’t call him a team leader until I measure how much dirt on his uniform
  4. That is true The problem with fan graphs and Leo Tolstoy is they don’t factor in a Freitas which in turn makes the playoffs virtually assured and gives mankind total understanding of why we are here in the first place So it looks like we will have to wait until September callups to have all of the human race’s oldest questions answered
  5. Playoff odds currently at... 538: 34% BPro: 31.8% FanGraphs: 29.4% BRef: 28.1% Flip a coin twice, if you call it correctly both times you just did something with a 25% probability. If you call it wrong one of the two times we are definitely missing the postseason. The only problem with sports is that there are differing abilities of the opponents than just chance. I would feel a lot better if we played the pirates 9 games compared to the cardinals. That’s a tough stretch we have that we aren’t really equipped for I think I’d take my chance with two flips of a coin than to actually play those 23 games if they asked me Adam took care of it for me And this isn’t against you sveum. Just a general statement. I’ve learned over the years that those in season playoff percentages are utterly meaningless
  6. I think at this point I’m more worried about our play. Twins, nationals, cardinals, diamondbacks, cardinals, cubs all in a row We are going to have to prove we can win those series. I’m very skeptical of that. Especially the road series. I think we would do well to be over .500 in those games. Would that be enough to make a move in the playoff race. I don’t know I’m really looking at the next 23 games, a stretch that ends on September 8. They’re all against teams with winning records and includes the 6 series you listed plus two games against the Astros and 4 more with the Cubs. I really think that only .500 in those games would leave the Brewers in a tough spot with just three weeks left in the season (unless they win a lot against the Cards and Cubs). I expect one or two of the teams in the playoff jumble are going to make a move soon and treading water as the Brewers have been doing isn’t going to be good enough. Something like 14-9 would be great. I think for sanity I literally just have to forget what I just said and just to get excited game by game. Because when you look at it the way above they almost have no chance of being in the playoffs

Cannot be used for the rest of the week

  9. This is a big stretch until the end of the August. Can’t really let down any series now We will see if they are anywhere near a playoff spot by Labor Day
  10. Watch screwball on Netflix. A documentary on the people that supplied steroids to a lot of baseball players including Braun and Arod. A crazy story. And ridiculous
  11. So our record is worse against lefties than righties. Hopefully we don’t face that many the rest of the year
  12. Can we bring up those opposing pitchers so we can hit against them too? AAA lefties are actually something we've seen a lot of lately... Well there goes that strategy
