  1. BA and Bill kept commenting on how quiet the crowd was--well, yeah, you guys were sitting in a sauna, apparently.
  2. Yeah. Would've been a great win (going up 4.5, esp. after their antics today), but as a loss, it's not really devastating me like, say, the A-Ram bomb in '07 or the Giants' sweep that year or even Opening Day this year.
  3. Well, this one doesn't "hurt" me necessarily, but I am pretty disgusted, both at the Brewers' play and the Cardinals' act
  4. If Holiday can get a SB why not CC Yadi's off punching a wall somewhere
  5. I hope tonight ends this organization's season What a bunch of clowns
  6. Well, it was a nice bonus to get Schumaker there then if this goes to ten, I guess
  7. Hairston not gonna win over many Milwaukee fans with that one
  8. Still two innings, but that was a golden opportunity And yeah--sure would've loved to have seen Rickie bat that inning http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

  10. The guy DID NOT flip the bird during the game. He made the "two outs" sign with his fingers while doing the "up yours" with his arms. Stupid but not worth the crying. Heck, Brian Wilson's bit interpolates X-Pac's "SUCK IT!" so I'm not sure where Giants fans get off trying to take the high road, as dumb as some of Nyjer's bits might be. Anyway, Nyjer didn't just become crazy and dumb when he joined the Brewers: he was born here and raised over the Bridge in Mill Valley: look in the mirror, SF.
  11. At first glance it looked like the bird, but they replayed it so often on the post-show (and they reiterated it was the "two outs" sign) that I don't know how anyone could think otherwise at this point. Nyjer said all the right things in the post-game interview: he's from here, grew up a Giants' fan, enjoys going back and forth with the fans, etc etc, but I still think it was a pretty dumb thing for him to do and get caught up in. That said, spare me any indignant outrage about this and especially the bowling ball celebration.
  12. Perfect. For having the title belt, a lot of this fanbase locally sure gets caught up in a lot of whiny petty intrigues about "how to play the game." Some real wet diapers. Their announcers and players are fine though (when they're not drilling players in ST of course).
  13. Second question of Bochy's presser (asked by Gwen Knapp, I think) was about Nyjer's gesture to the fans (Bochy brushed it off, said he didn't see it and seemed irritated, not sure with the question or Nyjer) Yeah, they're gonna make hay out of it here
  14. Now have won 5 of the last 7 against the World Champs...breaking the (Lou) seal tonight was huge, I think the Crew has the wind at their back right now confidence-wise.
  15. No, believe it or not my family just flew in from Billy Mitchell; we're going on a long-planned (planned before the schedule release at least) week in Tahoe tomorrow so no Brewers' games in SF for me this year. Except for the playoffs?
  16. Kruk and Kuip actually haven't been doing anything close to the Cards' "THIS IS APPALLING!!!" act; they've pretty much been saying the same as us, "He should probably tone that down...this is not a good idea on his part," etc, but pretty laid-back about it.
  17. Great, now instead of locals complaining to me about the bowling ball incident, they're gonna ride me about Nyjer's clowning out there--why the "suck it," come on. That's probably gonna him a game or two. The Giants' feed's cameras were on Nyjer almost that entire inning. He is who he is but jeez, take it easy, sleazy.
  18. I started running again a few years back after pretty much taking 15 years off from it, having run roadraces, and cross country and track, growing up in Florida. Being able to run in near-perfect running weather conditions in the Bay Area now has me wondering how I ever used to run those long slow distance and sprint workouts at 2 in the afternoon in late Florida summers.
  19. Drew being out for a contender now means the SS market's gonna get a lot pricier.
