  1. I hated the bunt (don't give away outs down by 4 with 12 left) but actually liked the Beast Mode--show some spine here
  2. There's still four innings to make up 4 (if we can hold, big if it seems), but that was rather deflating, I must admit.
  3. It really is awful. I'm rooting for a comeback if just so we don't have to hear their heinous victory song again.
  4. You know, I rarely get ticked at RR, but that's on him. Come on.
  5. Yeah, I expect that from YuniB, but Prince's hack was more of a let-down
  6. I haven't seen many "classics" in person, but I was at this one, too...a lot of us here were, for whatever reason (Sunday matinee didn't hurt), I know. The other one I'll always really remember for the wrong reason was this hot mess.
  7. Wow, I think the Dbacks have the one victory song worse than Go Cubs Go.
  8. Funny, I was listening on the radio and I said the exact same thing to my wife; it was becoming actually dissonant. I've never heard that constant, just MASSIVE roar there before, not in person, not on TV or radio. Like Live at Leeds. Anyway, we had long-standing plans up in Mendocino this weekend but I was able to listen to the games on the radio while driving up and down 101--it might've actually been less nerve-wracking doing it that way than watching at home, pacing in front of the tube. I obnoxiously would honk my horn repeatedly for Brewers' scores/big plays.
  9. Nothing will make everyone happy unfortunately. I'd actually welcome the 9AM start out here as it would allow me to catch the game before driving up to Mendocino for some late afternoon plans--not that anyone cares about anyone's individual plans here or anywhere. A late start for this one does seem odd on TBS' behalf since the Phils seem to be a huge evening draw in a massive market that isn't too big on college football (at least to my understanding) and the aforementioned Badgers-Huskers tilt.
  10. I totally agree, but in the midst of this incredible positive night, it's amazing that Bud still finds a way to become the villain: he seems to be getting excoriated personally on the internet tonight because of this
  11. It's should be a fun, exciting evening of baseball all the way around what with at least four other playoff-relevant games to keep clicking around to--I hope of course that Braunie and the Brew Crew make the last half of the D'backs game completely irrelevant. L'shana Tova!
  12. Reyes and the Mets are getting excoriated on the Rome show right now.
  13. It's not the fans, it's the region--I used to go to plenty of Devil Rays' games and it's not the fault of that small band of die-hard fans that no one else in the Tampa Bay area can be bothered (for a variety of reasons, some good, some bad) Anyway, yeah, I've always disliked the Diamondbacks since MLB had to bail them out after they bought their championship, and I feel both the Rays and Marlins have had their chances to prove themselves as viable franchises and have failed. Contract 'em.
  14. Even when the Brewers win? My God people, enjoy the ride. Everything the Brewers can still accomplish is squarely in their own hands.seriously, people need to back off of other people and stop telling them how to feel. Just because people are upset, or worried doesn't mean they aren't "enjoying the ride" Perhaps, I should tell you to be worried about the playing the Phillies? but then again, I don't tell people how they should feel Well, he's not telling him how to feel, he's telling him how to act--which, yeah, I hear you, hyperbolic gnashing of teeth can be grating but it's still harmless, but you're doing the same thing here. Anyway. Go Brewers.
  15. You know, if the Brewers' bullpen had taken care of business against the Diamondbacks on July 4th we wouldn't even have to be heaping weight on the Dodgers that they apparently can't bear
  16. Yeah, I'm much more in awe of/entertained by that than devastated or gut-shot or whatever. I don't relish a first round matchup with the Phillies, HFA or no, but they're most likely gonna have to beat them one way or another to get what we want
  17. Haha, I was about to say, blame Daron, page 10 and a good chunk of page 11 was a reverse jinx
