  1. I’m old school - no metrics … I just watch the games & share my opinions Based on what I saw last year, Bauers was superior to Hoskins at 1B & I anticipate he is better than a 36-year old Canha who is close to the end of his mLB career I reserve the right to be wrong!
  2. I understand your perspective for sure - but Black showed very little in Spring Training Yesterday’s game winning homer was his only contribution to date I love his speed & would be thrilled if he becomes a quality player He was impressive in the minors - not sure he will get a chance in Milwaukee
  3. I prefer Bauers … younger, better defensively
  4. I don’t use Roku - only AppleTV My provider is DirecTV stream Not sure how to watch JABO with my current setup
  5. And another reminder that the Cubs are a last place team
  6. Beautiful … Cubbies are 0-2 & a long trip back to face Arizona
  7. So many injuries … starting pitching has really been impacted I prefer Patrick over any of the other arms for the temporary fifth spot I may be alone - but I prefer Bauers over Canha as the backup 1B & fifth OF I don’t think Black or Durbin make the team to start the season - Durbin’s defense at 3B needs work … Black’s defense in general needs work & he’s missed another opportunity to impress with his bat this Spring Capra does make the team because he has no options Monasterio may sneak into the final bench spot I do not want to see Margot at any point in 2025 - I hope he has an out clause & exercises it quickly
  8. I’m excited about several Brewers prospects, but I’m not (yet) on the Misiorowski hype train. I want to believe but he’s not been impressive in the games I’ve watched this Spring as well as a few last year. Yes, he can throw 100 MPH & apparently has a great change up - unfortunately, he has Derrick Turnbow control. I’m not convinced (yet) that he will be as good as projected. I understand he is young & there is plenty of time for him to improve. I don’t see starting pitcher in him (yet). I also don’t anticipate him “helping” Milwaukee until next year - assuming he gains some level of control. Walks, HBP, general wildness is not MLB quality pitching.
  9. I’m saving this picture & will likely use it quite often during the 2025 season 🙌🏼
  10. Cubs lose 4-1 to Dodgers in Japan All is right in the world Chicago is in last place in the NL Central What a great way to start the day!
  11. It seems three of our top eight starters (Hall, Ashby, & now Myers) have all been sidelined this Spring with similar oblique injuries. This seems odd to me. Historically, has this been a problem with our pitching staff? Are other teams dealing with similar oblique issues?
  12. I like Quintana as the veteran, experienced arm more so than Miley or Rea I’m not sure any team has as much pitching depth as Milwaukee Several teams have greater talent … but no one has as many quality MLB pitchers as the Brewers

  15. I certainly hope you are correct
  16. Now we know why Milwaukee signed Margot … Perkins fractured his shin bone a few days ago & is out until early May. Perkins is one of my favorite Brewers players - this is sad news for me & costly to the Brewers depth.

  18. Wasn’t Brock LH?
  19. If I recall correctly, the Brewers signed one of Prince Fielder’s sons last year. Where will he play this year? Is he in the ACL or will he be with a lower affiliate? What is his profile & is he a true prospect?
  20. I saw Black play 3B when he was at AA Biloxi two years ago & he looked fantastic. He had decent range & a strong arm. He made all the plays that came to the hot corner. I left town impressed & excited that he may be able to help the Brewers at 3B in the future. Unlike many on this board, I am not as familiar with all the analytics & data that suggests he is not capable of playing there. As a lifelong baseball fan using my eyes only - Black was a man among boys that weekend. The only other player who stood out to me was Jefferson Quero. Both he & Black were exceptional. I would be thrilled if Black somehow won the job or at least was part of a 3B rotation. Hopefully, he can play adequate defense & hit well enough to get regular playing time in 2025.
  21. This makes me happy. I like him more than 3 or 4 players at the bottom of our 40-man roster. I hope he gets another chance in 2025.

  23. According to the MLB.com article I read, Colt Keith will move to 1B
  24. I hope this deal is similar income to their previous deal so as to provide financial stability allowing us to spend more on payroll
