  1. Quite disappointing for the Brewers & extremely sad for Wilson after such a lengthy injury & recovery
  2. Atlanta is a far better team than Milwaukee in 2023 I’m not sure “adding a bat” via trade makes up the difference if we face the Braves in the postseason They would need to be in a slump or have injuries to a few key players Never say never … but the gap in talent is immense And - I’m quite sure adding Hiura won’t put us over the top I’m shocked at the # of forum members who continue to call for his promotion Hiura is not the Brewers savior
  3. I read somewhere that he won’t play until Saturday … I hope that is incorrect
  4. Another example of a well-pitched game that we can easily lose because management has been unwilling to make a trade for a bat or promote Toro or Black or (God forbid) Hiura in advance of the actual deadline Why not be one of the first to make a trade & get a bat early? Milwaukee has no margin for error … if they give up a few runs, the game is in jeopardy
  5. Good grief … enough on the Suter return to Milwaukee
  6. Yes - but he takes a valuable roster spot that could be filled with a better bat
  7. To keep Winker on the roster - especially when you don’t have enough confidence to play him against a RH starter - is unforgivable. It’s embarrassing to try & defend such poor decisions. This team could be 20 games over .500 with an average offense, yet we are struggling to hold off Cincinnati - a young team with an excellent offense & equally bad pitching. Frelick reminds me of a young Molitor … I love his energy & bat to ball skills. He needs help sooner than later! I thought for sure there would be a roster move or two for the offense before the Cincy series. Maybe it happens tomorrow. CONCERN: Counsell’s postgame comments & an MSJ article today suggest Winker is a good PH off the bench … I hope this experiment ends sooner than later.
  8. Toro can play 1B & has in Nashville Miller can remain at 1B - where he’s better than Hiura Hiura is a defensive liability no matter where he plays … & he strikes out too much as a DH only
  9. I like your post except I’d rather see Toro or Black instead of Hiura
  10. You should give him more credit … he’s currently playing far > serviceable Other than to annoy me - Is there a reason for you to continue to repeat this tired comment?
  11. If we lose tonight, it is 100% on management for not making a trade for a bat or promoting Toro or Black … even Hiura … soon enough. I hope we somehow win this game after failing to score in nearly 20 opportunities with runners in scoring position. Frelick reminds me of a young Molitor … I love his energy & bat to ball skills. He needs help sooner than later! I thought for sure there would be a roster move or two for the offense before tonight’s game. Maybe it happens tomorrow.
  12. This is one thing we completely agree on & see the same way 🙌🏼
  13. I believe your head is correct I surely hope we don’t trade ANY of our top prospects for a rental I like our future IF we keep our young bats & promote them rather than trade them away “hoping” we catch fire & somehow get past ATL in the NL this year
  14. One would hope … I acknowledge that I’m not patient by nature - but my word … it is so past time to make some changes to this moribund offense
  15. I may not watch tomorrow is Winker is in the four hole
  16. Hopefully Black … it’s so past time to discard Winker … another winnable game lost because we are “waiting” on the deadline to (potentially) add a bat
  17. Thoughts after another winnable game that we lose due to poor offense: Teheran pitched well enough to win Winker should not be on the roster - he only plays every 3 days & adds nothing The bullpen was bound to give up a few runs at some point - too bad it was in a game where (once again) we left zero margin for error
  18. I laugh every time I see someone add Hiura to the Brewers roster While I would prefer him over Winker any day, I hope Black gets the DH at bats soon I would LOVE to see Hiura included in a trade if only to keep forum posters from constantly suggesting that he is part of the solution for the offense His defense is not good enough to schedule him at 1B … or anywhere else for that matter
