If we don’t make a trade or call up Black soon we will lose several low scoring games in the next few weeks before the deadline … Why wait?

I came to the forum hoping to see an acquisition - maybe CJ Cron or another 1B bat - only to discover that Miley was added to the IL … quite the opposite of what I wanted to see

Yes - through 95 games - they’ve competed & kept their head above water in a weak NL Central To compete in a 162 game season & into the postseason they will need more than Teheran, Rea, & potentially Alexander in their starting rotation Hopefully, Miley & Woody return soon & are strong down the stretch I hope we don’t unload several quality prospects to simply “make the playoffs” & get ousted by a superior opponent I’d prefer to have those young players on future teams - especially after we trade Burnes in the offseason & acquire more assets for the future

Welcome to the forum By “the” Easter Sunday game - I assume it was the 1987 game that keep our winning streak alive

Quite disappointing after a big weekend Everything has to go right for Milwaukee to compete They’ve had more than their fair share of injuries this season We need bats … & now another starting pitcher

Black would be a great DH to finish the year in place of Winker Maybe CJ Cron can be acquired via trade Anderson (when healthy) could help in RF & at 3B

I saw Black live in one game back in May. His defense on that evening in Montgomery was excellent. His speed on the bases & with his bat were exceptional. I’ve recommended this promotion a few times on the game threads & in the transaction forum over the past few weeks. We need to move on from both Winker & Tellez ASAP. Black & a bat via trade make sense.

He was overdue Blind squirrel 🐿 … finds an acorn

The sooner the better … these next 15 days are quite important - Phils, Braves, Reds … we need offense now - before the trade deadline
  10. edfunderburk
Cincinnati - not known for their pitching - held Milwaukee to 8 runs in four games … & lost all of those games

Before Tuesday night’s game in Philly

Miller is much better defensively at 1B than I realized

So glad Turang’s glove is MLB ready I hope he takes a step offensively next season

One more here would be nice

I understand & agree Winker should be replaced as the everyday DH I’m not convinced that Hiura is the solution … but any change would be welcomed

All the attention has been on the Brewers pitching staff because of shutouts in three consecutive games & rightfully so That has covered up some pretty ugly offensive issues - only 7 runs in 4 games (as of the 7th inning today) We need some bats ASAP

Houser has pitched well since giving up the 2-run homer three innings ago Another good pitching performance by a Brewers starter He was one defensive miscue (Monasterio) away from a quality start Thanks to Wilson, we now have a chance to win today
  20. edfunderburk
One of five DFA candidates on the team right now (I’m including Tellez who went on the IL today)
  21. edfunderburk
We need to make a few trades NOW - not in two weeks Playing the Phils, Braves, & Reds with our current lack of offense is asking for trouble
  22. edfunderburk
    I love sarcastic humor 😂👏
  23. edfunderburk
I hope Hiura is a “throw in” for any potential trade in the next few weeks so people will stop suggesting him as a candidate for promotion to the 26-man roster
  24. edfunderburk
It is far past time to DFA Winker Keeping him on the roster is illogical
  25. edfunderburk
I get more upset each day he stays on the roster … it makes no sense whatsoever
