  1. And it was 0-2 for several pitches Quality at bat He needs to play against righties
  2. Even if by some bottom of the ninth miracle we rally to tie or win this game - what a disappointing three game series following being swept in Pittsburgh The older I get, the more I value my time Watching the 2022 Brewers is a complete waste of time
  3. I simply can’t watch The Reds are terrible The Pirates are terrible We are on the verge of losing 5 of 6 games to these two teams Meanwhile, STL is close to sweeping the NYY & Philly is suddenly red-hot too We will likely be two games out of both the NL Central lead & the final Wild Card spot More frustrating than these ongoing shenanigans - those in this forum who will say “we’ve got plenty of time” & “don’t you remember X team in X year rallying late?” (thumbs twisting in their cheeks producing an artificial smile)
  4. If Burnes can’t get a win against Cincy, we need to punt on this miserable season
  5. Here we go again … losing a lead against an inferior opponent late when the revamped bullpen can’t hold a lead or keep a game tied Meanwhile - I just checked - Josh Hader has only thrown one scoreless inning for the Padres which resulted in a W with former Brewer Trent Grisham hitting a game-winning HR Go Brew Crew ⚾️?
  6. That has always been the case … not just this year
  7. In frustration … based on these three months of below average play … I’ve said a few times on this forum that MLW may finish 81-81 I fear that I may very well be accurate in that projection I cannot imagine - with our upcoming schedule & based on the way we are currently playing - that this team will finish the season with 82 wins Pittsburgh & Cincinnati are outplaying us with their severely depleted by trade rosters … this was our chance to make a run Why do I continue to watch these games?
  8. Philly winning big again STL about to sweep the NYY MLW struggling once again with a terrible opponent - at home What a joke of a team
  9. Why am I surprised? More of the same I love the Milwaukee Brewers I don’t like this team at all …
  10. Yes … I do … as an avid Brewers fan, I’m hoping for (but not expecting) a similar result To date … 108 games in (2/3 of the season exactly) … color me “severely disappointed” Injuries aside - this has been a lengthy & excruciating three months of mediocre baseball
  11. Yes … Astros are definitely the team to beat in the AL
  12. It may be 8/7 & yes we are only one game back to start the day, but we’ve played less than .500 baseball for three months & that must change SOON if we want to sneak into the playoffs Despite all the apologists … this is NOT a good team We have some remarkable players, but most of the 26-man roster - & those shuffling on & off the roster - are not playing good baseball I will be surprised if “suddenly” we turn things around This is more than a slump - this is a lengthy trend of bad baseball
  13. Urius adds to the Brewers ongoing base path mishaps This 2022 team - unlike the last few years - plays “poor fundamental baseball”
  14. I’ve mentioned in previous posts related to this trade that I really like Peters … this was indeed an odd, risky trade I surely hope Rosenthal proves worth it in Sept
  15. Any chance Alexander will be stacked with Peralta - &/or Houser upon his return - since they are on a pitch count until they build up arm strength to 100 plus pitches? Another possibility - Could Alexander replace Ashby in the starting rotation & allow Ashby to strengthen the bullpen?
  16. In my humble opinion - this is a “must win” game I fear - at the end of the season - losing all three games in Pittsburgh … with Burnes / Woodruff / Peralta taking the losses - will mark the beginning of the end for our playoff hopes Somehow, this team needs to go on a run - like winning 12 of 15 games - or we may be done
  17. This is good news - seeing McGee DFA’d - regardless of who replaced him on the roster
  18. This is the clarity that I needed that has been missing from the start of this thread Based on these facts - I agree that it is too risky for Milwaukee to waive him I’m quite sad by this news - we simply have to swallow hard & endure a “bad” contract that hamstrings a small market team & prevents us from reallocating those dollars in a more efficient way … bummer
  19. I would be delighted if this is true & Yelich was traded in the offseason - even if Milwaukee needs to pick up some of the salary … I would not favor including prospects (as was required in moving JBJ) After watching this 2022 team struggle for three months, I’m ready to refresh the roster in 2023 with some of these top prospects - Frelick, Turang, Ruiz, others TBD I understand that we have “a window” with quality starters (Burnes, Woodruff) that is closing soon but a significant roster turnover would be welcomed by me
  20. This is likely true - thanks for a balanced perspective Frelick would not cost $30M so a drop off in production until he establishes himself would be worth it to me
