  1. I’m aware they play different positions I referenced Frelick because he is known to lack power but is superior defensively & is lightning fast
  2. I saw a stat last night on AppleTV+ broadcast that compared Yelich’s stats before & after his injury Did anyone else catch that graphic? The # of at bats were nearly identical The difference was mind-blowing It’s exciting to see Yelich getting on base again, but he will likely never come close to the player he was in 2019 He has virtually zero power these days & his defense is mundane to say the least I believe Frelick could produce equal or more power should he get an opportunity next year
  3. Any chance Milwaukee re-signs Rogers for $8M?
  4. I just read the thread beginning to end I’m not as informed as most of you, but I’m curious as to why most (if not all) have Joe Gray ranked ahead of Tristen Lutz I read an article about Gray’s eye surgery causing more harm that good … that alone drops him out of my Top 30 Lutz has rebounded this year with a solid season What makes Gray a better prospect than Lutz? What MLB players are comparable to each of these prospects?
  5. This is excellent … I love seeing everyone’s thoughts on out top prospects Why do most (if not all) have Eric Brown so low? I believe Wiemer is ranked too high in most lists I also believe Frelick is almost ready for a big league opportunity - even though he’s only been in Nashville for a week
  6. All good points & accurate reminders I do believe Kelly will be as good or better than Small - whom I see as nobody special
  7. This 2022 team has had its share of injuries & to date has underperformed & given away several winnable games Over the past three months, they are playing under .500 baseball If you read some of the early posts in the Hader trade thread, I actually celebrated the trade - I like the return of a few good prospects & a top MLB closer I surely hope I’m wrong on the implosion … on paper, our starters names that you’ve listed are impressive Burnes & Woodruff are A+ … Lauer is off & on, but quality … Ashby is the future … Houser has had a down year, but is certainly capable Our bullpen may have improved with Bush & Rosenthal But through 100+ games, this team doesn’t have what a few recent teams have had - the current Brewers are lackluster defensively & can’t seem to put teams away
  8. I wholeheartedly agree & hope that Milwaukee will provide the unique accountability that Bush will require to be successful
  9. I wasn’t clear I was trying to say … Kelly & Small both walk too many batters So, like Small … Kelly has control challenges that could hinder him from being an effective MLB pitcher You may disagree - which is fine - but I was not comparing their pitching styles, velocity … just that both walk too many batters
  10. I’ll try once more to restate what I’ve said several times This 2022 Brewers team has been unenjoyable & unwatchable at times The Packers teams have been extremely fun to watch in the regular season with a rare dud of a game - Saints opener last year comes to mind The playoffs are a different story - but neither team has won anything in the playoffs … since 2010 for Green Bay & never for the Brewers
  11. The majority of the Brewers games feel similar to the 49ers loss The Packers definitely have been unreliable in the playoffs - but they have been pretty dynamic & enjoyable in the regular season This year’s Brewers team has not been dynamic on a regular basis
  12. The Reds haven’t swept anyone with this roster & likely won’t
  13. Glad we won I don’t believe you really believe that statement - “all that matters” That’s simply not true We are barely keeping our head above water I fear we are slowly drowning
  14. Anyone paying attention would accept that it is likely Milwaukee that will implode down the stretch this year We should have a 6 or 7 game lead but we’ve given away a ton of winnable games to date Tonight’s game is indicative of how we struggle to put a bad team away
  15. Outside of the one strong week post All-Star game, Milwaukee has played below .500 baseball for nearly three months I have a sinking feeling that we are going to slowly fade out of contention & miss the playoffs We can’t even put away a depleted Reds team without burning our bullpen It would have been nice to win without using Williams or Rogers Packers football can’t arrive soon enough for me
  16. I hate the Cardinals & I’m furious at the Brewers for playing lackluster baseball this week & losing a four game lead Cards just took a 4-3 lead on NYY with two runs in the bottom of the 8th I hope MLB does realignment ASAP & gets Milwaukee in another division So tired of mediocrity
  17. When he connects … Taylor’s swing is a thing of beauty
  18. We don’t need the umps helping our opponents We are not much better than many of these teams Our starters have been off for several days now I don’t remember the last 3 up 3 down 1st inning
  19. Votto should have been called out on a high 3rd strike on the 2-2 pitch
  20. The Braves not losing 3 straight games this year reminds me of Green Bay not trailing by more than 7 points in any game in a year (that happened within the last decade). Both of these stats are the exception - certainly not normal.
  21. The defense has been an issue all year For a team built on “run prevention” both pitching (mostly due to injuries) & defense (underperformance by several players) have been woefully bad & disappointing
  22. To address the question in the topic for this thread … My answer is NO I honestly don’t believe we were World Series worthy BEFORE the trade deadline & I don’t believe we are now ATL proved last Fall that if we were to get “hot” at the right time … like our first week out of the All-Star break … we may surprise some folks & get there That said, there are at least four teams in the NL right now (LA, NYM, ATL, & San Diego) that are clearly better than the Brewers & two more (STL, Philly) that are as good I certainly want to be wrong, but I don’t believe this is our year Even if - by some miracle chance - we get to the 2022 World Series, I can’t imagine the Brewers beating the NYY or Houston
