  1. I’m thrilled to see Yelich get a breather in tonight’s game … that’s good for him & for Brewers fans too We were teased for nearly a week, but it appears Yelich has reverted to the 2020 & 2021 version of himself once again This is not an accusation - I know Yelich had back & kneecap injuries as well as an obvious loss of confidence (listen to his interviews when he’s slumping) - but his sudden, steep drop in production makes me wonder if the Brewers had a sign stealing system in place like the Red Sox & Astros (& others, I’m sure) back in 2018 & 2019
  2. Big win in Game 1 of today’s DH Milwaukee keeps their lead over STL Hopefully they can secure a DH sweep with another win tonight I love Luke Barker getting a chance
  3. I was away from my iPad during the entire game today, but followed along as I could Small has to improve his control to stay on the big league roster long-term … but I like his moxie I love Tyrone Taylor - check my posts from Spring Training & even last year Peterson has been hot this week Urius is having a solid year - bright future too Hader is amazing - so glad he stayed perfect for the year Here’s hoping we sweep the Cubbies at their place I’m not a fan of the split twin bills … I prefer the back-to-back, stay all day at the park double-headers
  4. Glad to be wrong Well done, Suter I do hate that he allowed Goldy’s hitting streak to reach 20 games
  5. I’m glad to see Suter get some much needed work - perfect game to help him “get right” That said - I hope he is able to get three outs without surrendering a run I’d love to see Milwaukee shoutout St. Louis on the raod I’m not hopeful after the first batter he faced
  6. So happy for LoCain! He has hit the ball well all day.
  7. Who will Counsell pitch in the final few innings today? Suter needs work to get himself right, but I don’t trust him at all Who else needs to pitch?
  8. Jace Arenado with a stellar defensive back-handed stab of a Goldschmidt liner
  9. This may be true, but “underlying” is not fun to watch - his at bats have been somewhat brutal as a general rule since the one week he was red-hot
  10. I’d love for Burnes to keep mowing down the Cards & see Milwaukee win this game without using Williams or Hader
  11. Because I’ve been especially hard on & critical of LoCain’s offense all year - I must acknowledge that he’s hit the ball well all 3 times he’s been up today … his best at bat resulted in a long line drive to deep RF where Donovan made a great defensive play to rob him of at least a double.
  12. Good point … especially with a split DH tomorrow in Chicago
  13. Yelich needs a day or two OFF He’s back to his 2020 & 2021 self … unacceptable He teased for a week & got my hopes up He’s an average to below-average MLB player these days If only we had the $$$ back that he & Cain are receiving
  14. Peterson had dropped below .200 before that 3-run blast He seems to contribute in unique ways just often enough to keep his utility role on the roster That was a big HR … Hopefully, Burnes goes 7 innings & hands over a 4-run lead to Williams & Hader A series split - on the road with key players on IR - would be huge for our Brew Crew
  15. Not being sarcastic … honest question: Are those the first two back-to-back “barrels” for Cain this year? What a help it would be if Cain begins to contribute offensively
  16. Gosh, I miss old-school, hard-nosed baseball where a hefty runner (like Prince Fielder) could run over a catcher. I also miss wiping out the 2nd baseman on a double play attempt. That play at home plate may have been different if the catcher knew Rowdy may roll him into the dugout if he applied the tag.
  17. I would rather Keston be riding the pine than playing in the OF Only in an emergency or a complete blowout game would I be able to stomach him in the OF
  18. Poor Cain … a rare hard hit drive to deep RF & nothing to show for it
