  1. This week has not been our best baseball. That 1-0 loss stings even more now.
  2. I believe he may turn out well … eventually … a year or two into the future
  3. Sproat is not yet a big league starting pitcher. I believe he would already be in Nashville if we had healthy 40-man options to take his place. I had hoped that this 12 game stretch against sub .500 teams would allow us to pad our lead. It looks like we are headed for a tough stretch of injury-related losses.
  4. I’d be in favor of that trade … & we could throw in Rengifo too
  5. Does anyone? Are you suggesting we send Detroit Perkins & Ortiz?
  6. And while we b&m about Sproat being a disappointment, I am equally frustrated that Woodruff can’t stay healthy again. I’m ready for him to pitch. All the delays to “work on arm slot” … hooey - if you’re well enough to tweak things, get on the mound & pitch for the team that is paying you $22M this season.
  7. I certainly don’t want us to trade three young top prospects for a three month (including playoffs) pitcher. We lose years of potential assets. Certainly no guarantee Skubal gets us past the Dodgers this year. So, I’m unapologetically against such a trade.
  8. I simply can’t watch Sproat pitch. I push “pause” when he starts an inning, wait a few minutes, then I hit “jump to live” on my Apple TV remote. I get less frustrated that way.
  9. Sproat is so disappointing. Unfortunately, everyone who could take his spot is injured or equally mediocre.
  10. I’m only a Sproat fan because he’s wearing a Milwaukee Brewers uniform. I hope he grows into a valuable starter for 4-5 years, but he’s not shown improvement in his 10 plus outings in 2026.
  11. How many innings can Sproat give us tonight? Hopefully 5 or 6. No one has benefited more than Sproat from the pitching injuries this year. He would otherwise be in Nashville.
  12. So, rather than read this lengthy thread - especially after a loss - can someone please succinctly share details regarding the two injuries? dL Hall & Anderson. What an awful day. When I saw the box score, I assumed we might actually see the long-awaited DFA for Woodford. Now, due to injuries, he may stay longer. Rats! I’m ready for some significant roster changes with the poor performance players like Woodford & Perkins & even Rengifo.
  13. This is why losing 1-0 last night matters. Murphy mismanaged the late innings horribly & now we get spanked today. Yuck. Splitting the four games with a terrible San Francisco team is certainly disappointing. Borders on unacceptable. I understand injuries to pitchers. Every team faces bouts of injuries at inoppurtune times. This is another reminder of how poor a decision it was to pay Woodruff $22M to be a mentor to young pitchers while spending the season in rehab & on the IL. How awesome it would have been to invest that $ in quality bats on the left side of the infield.
  14. He'll save him for a late inning, game winning hit opportunity
  15. This is one of the most frustrating games of the season. Winnable game squandered because we’re too cheap to call up better players. I’ve said for weeks, we’ve got 20 good players on a 26-man roster. Tonight’s 1-0 loss is the byproduct of that reality. 🤮
  16. Tonight’s game is an example of why we need to adjust the bottom of the roster - especially on offense (bench bats Perkins & Sanchez) but also including Woodford. This is a potential loss that could have been a win with good decision making by the manager & front office.
  17. This would be an ideal time for Rengifo’s first Brewers HR
  18. I like Gasser … I remember my excitement prior to his TJ surgery … would love to see him bounce back & be an asset to this team - hopefully this season
