  1. I fear the Brewers will being back Carlos Santana for the home stretch to defensively improve first base. He’s not been very good with his bat this season as he nears age 40. We do need s9meone over there who can both hit & play quality defense.
  2. With so little power in the lineup, I understand the decision to attempt stolen bases … but recently, we’ve not done so well. Is the change with our first base coach partly responsible for the downturn this season? I don’t think we’ve lost any speed.
  3. I would be happy with Maikel Garcia - if not an overpay I would be okay with Willi Castro - but not excited
  4. Great idea … he could be valuable now & in future seasons too
  5. I agree completely - I hope we avoid “overpaying” for Eugenio Suarez. We need power but at a reasonable cost. I would say “no” to trading any of our young starting pitchers with years of team control. We will need them next year & beyond.
  6. Black is just awful defensively no matter where he plays He needs a change of scenery … maybe he can be part of a trade if one takes place
  7. Murphy was perfectly placed as a bench coach. He’s great with the media too. He’s below average as a manager of the actual game. As I’ve stated numerous times: The Brewers often win in spite of him - seldom if ever because of him.
  8. Too much fanfare today … winning the game is all that matters … I could care less about the postgame HR derby I prefer for this (average talent) team to simply focus on one game at a time … otherwise the Cubs will pass us by & take the NL Central The Brewers are an incredible team through 102 games, but it appears that there are too many distractions today It’s been a while since the Brewers played a lousy game … no doubt, they deserve to lose today… this has been uninspiring baseball from the start
  9. Murphy - for all his great leadership & inspirational qualities - has no clue with in game pitching changes Mears has been awful his last few outings Peralta - as talented as he is - should be able to go six innings A bullpen meltdown here today impacts the weekend & potentially the Cubs series Ugly game today - a rarity
  10. When is the last time Yelich squared up a ball & made hard contact? His slumps & up & down streaks are so frustrating.
  11. I love the ball in glove logo that was created in 1977 & first worn in 1978. But I must admit, I also love the “original” M logo that the Brewers are wearing today. What a classic look. Those caps & batting helmets are sharp. More than the M logo … I prefer the brighter blue color to what we wear today.
  12. Yes … I agree. Sometimes you just get beat. Seattle has HR power. Milwaukee doesn’t. 1-0 would be painful, but you can’t win every single game.
  13. I paused the game & walked away when Raleigh stepped up to the plate. I would never have chosen Mears in that situation. I wish Murphy had stayed with Hall. Oh well.
