Stearns may lose his job because of the ex-Brewers he signed

Surely hope Megill can close this out. He won’t be available for either game tomorrow. I would have kept Patrick in to finish this one off.

Yelich should not be batting at the top of the lineup. He & Murphy should be embarrassed. Outside of his one HR in Arizona (& it was mashed no doubt), he’s been in a horrible slump for three weeks. If he must play, drop him to the lower third of the order.

Looks like Megill is warming up. Would love to save him for tomorrow.

Does Patrick come back out for the 9th? If he could complete the three inning save, that would be an incredible boost for the bullpen with the double header tomorrow.

How about a three inning save for Patrick?

Do we have enough in the bullpen tonight to keep this lead & win?

He ran into an ugly DP a few games back???

    Yelich frightens me here

    Sluggy!

Hamilton hit 9 HRs with Boston last year

Never use a glove if you can pick up a ball with your free hand

Watching Soccer … those two words don’t go together

Tonight’s game is rather important if we want to win this series … especially with the double header tomorrow

We have some great young pitchers Drohan deserves better than a 2-0 deficit

I was typing this exact sentence … so frustrating

I hate errors that lead to 35 pitch innings when the bullpen is already tired & we need a starter to go six innings with a double header tomorrow. Snap out of it Brewers. This is bad baseball.

Or … hopefully … we start playing better baseball. It is incredible for Milwaukee to have won so many games in an extended stretch of terrible fundamental baseball.

Yelich is a joke in the leadoff spot

I anticipate we will do something as well. I just hope they don’t trade any top prospects. I don’t believe we can win this year. I’d rather deal with too many prospects next year once the new CBA is in place. The Dodgers are getting older & I believe the Brewers will be the next great team - if 1/3 of their prospects pan out.

I don’t believe the Brewers can beat the Dodgers in 2026 no matter who they acquire via trade. I hope they hold on to their prospects. Milwaukee could be a great team for the next several years with multiple World Series opportunities.

I miss the 70’s when a pitcher was told “We need you to go 7 innings today” & he did … no one was counting pitches & pampering young players. They just did their jobs & got outs until they were removed from the game having completed their assignment. Hooey on all the stats & analytics. Just keep that ERA low & get me some innings!

This was not the day to rest Contreras. We could have used his bat against a LHP.
