  1. I agree that Peguero deserves another opportunity Hudson hasn't performed very well in AAA after his recent demotion
  2. I mentioned earlier - apparently, Murph was "happy with a series win"
  3. The bottom 6-7 players on our current roster are not true major league quality players ... some will be DFA'd or sent to the minors when injured players return after rehab. Others may stick around & drive me batty all year.
  4. Oh no - just an older man with strong opinions & a fairly B&W worldview
  5. He’s what we have on the 26-man roster by choice of management. There are capable AAA starters in Nashville.
  6. With today’s starting lineup, it looks like Murphy was happy with a series win & not that interested in a sweep We don’t have a good enough squad to “hope things work out” Once again, our defense underperforms Part of the problem is putting Durbin at 3rd base - he simply is not capable of playing good defense there
  7. That happened before the game today … in his previous outings He needs to be in Nashville to keep developing He is not currently major a league pitcher
  8. Do any of the towns where you guys live have the “Fun, Fair, & Positive” sports leagues for little kids - where everyone gets a trophy & winning / losing is not emphasized? It is sad to me that baseball is “soft” today … injuries happen … with or without contact plays.
  9. The beauty of a forum - different opinions … both valid
  10. Especially with our offense being so pedestrian
  11. I hate how soft baseball has become … I assume Hasse was intentional in not blocking the plate. The throw was there in plenty of time. I miss plays at home as well as wipeout slides at second base. Being down 2-0 against Valdez with this AAA lineup is going to be a significant challenge. Hopefully, we get out of this inning with no further damage.
  12. I completely agree … as does Leo Durocher Anyone recall his famous quote as it relates to baseball players?
  13. The result was certainly unfortunate - we needed a run there & not a double play grounder
  14. Old man rant … If I had a pair of scissors & was near the Astros dugout, it would give me immense pelasure to trim Valdez’s hair all the way up to his cap
  15. Capra is an all-time “good guy” & quality person … but he has been woeful with the bat post Spring Training I’d love to see him get on track since he is a high character guy & apparently a great teammate We have excellent young middle infielders in the lower minors - they will arrive soon 2027 should be a fun season for the Brewers
  16. I was planning to attend the Biloxi / Pensacola game today but it was rained out So, I will watch the Brewers / Astros from my condo balcony I hope Priester keeps this game competitive so I can stay engaged
  17. Now 14-5 … this is more enjoyable than the Brewers win
  18. Pressly getting hammered - now 12-5 with runners on corners & zero outs Coun$ell slowing walking out to yank his closer
  19. Watching the 11th inning of Cubs & Giants It is glorious … complete meltdown by Chicago San Francisco leads 11-5 with no one out - runners on first & second Baseball is beautiful
  20. Cubs tied in 10th inning … hopefully they collapse
  21. … that lasts until October
