  1. I love Colin Rea I despise the Cubs I’m conflicted
  2. That sounded like a game winning hit Bauers has been solid this season
  3. Devin Williams, Yankees: One of the most intriguing trades of the offseason was the Brewers’ mega-closer Williams to the Yankees. One month in, his ERA is 11.25 and he’s already lost the closer’s role. https://www.mlb.com/news/devin-williams-removed-as-yankees-closer?partnerId=it-20250428-13353017-mlb-1-A&utm_id=it-20250428-13353017-mlb-1-A&lctg=138230048 https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25191043-yankees-remove-devin-williams-closer-replaced-luke-weaver-aaron-boone-says?utm_source=br_newsletter&lid=gxlkgk0dtw4t
  4. I was recently having dinner near my home in DFW wearing a Brewers golf shirt. The manager stared at me for a minute & then introduced himself. I saw his name badge & his last name was Money. He is Don’s nephew. We had a great conversation. I showed him this picture & he knew I was a genuine Brewers fan!
  5. I’ve been following the Brewers since they arrived in Milwaukee in 1970
  6. They are comparable in that that are in charge Maybe a few of the benched players today will start hating Murphy is that is what is required to remove a clueless manager 😉
  7. That is true … but someone (the manager) makes final decisions Murphy is the one in charge
  8. You are not wrong, but benching two players today may be the proverbial “shoot yourself in the foot” No one benched Murphy when he made several boneheaded pitching changes & in-game decisions that didn’t pan out
  9. He’s certainly not the only issue … maybe not the primary issue … but he’s made his share of bad decisions with no consequences
  10. Capra should have been DFA’d days ago. Brutal decision by the FO to roster him. Equally poor decision for Murphy to continue playing him.
  11. Hoping this blind squirrel (Capra) finds an acorn (base hit) here
  12. How can Murphy be benched or held accountable for his recent & ongoing in game decision blunders?
  13. I’m fed up with Murphy, His management of the players … pitching changes & substitutions … has been consistently bad. I think he’s clueless & overrated … personality plus but no feel for the game. Durbin made a mistake, but how does it improve the team to put Capra in the game when you need to score runs? Another loss to a bad team … we are free falling.
  14. I may be alone, but it would be fine with me if Arnold “Buck Rodgered” Murphy
  15. For sanity sake … I believe I will take a break from watching this disappointing team until they win another game I love baseball I love the Brewers I dislike “bad” baseball I will watch the NFL Draft today Not sure what I will do tomorrow I will check in online to see if they are winning or still in a nosedive Hopefully, they turn it around sooner than later I’m exhausted & aggravated at how poorly they are playing recently
  16. The starters aren’t very good either
  17. I assume (hope) Capra is DFA’d to make room for Cameron on the 40-man roster. Then Cameron comes to Milwaukee to replace Mitchell if he goes on the IL. Maybe Monasterio takes Capra’s place on the 26-man roster … at least short-term It would be fun to see Pratt added later in the season if he continues to play well … his upside is far greater
  18. Mitchell was stellar defensively but was not hitting well at all Hopefully he gets healthy & contributes later in the season I’m excited to see what Cameron can bring When we traded for him, the scouting reports I read didn’t speak highly of his defense
  19. Thanks for attempting to answer my question I usually ask concrete - not abstract - questions … that’s the way I see the world … black & white with little to no gray I’m not negative & make a comfortable living coaching leaders & telling them truth kindly but clearly I have several friends who often see the same thing I see but somehow spin it in a positive light … which often feels shallow or insincere Anyone who is watching the 2025 Brewers can’t help but acknowledge that they are not performing well … no matter how long the season (we are 1/6 of the way through the 162 game season after another disappointing loss tonight)
  20. It is certainly not my intention to “trash” the Brewers. I love this team & have for years. I do feel like I’m objective & find it difficult to see much positive in this year’s team. There have been several blowout losses & a few games where we gave away leads with poor defense. Additionally, I’m not fond of Murphy’s “in game” decisions. I like his personality far more than Counsell’s but not his baseball decisions. I’m shocked at how poorly the defense has played. I’m not surprised by the lack of power or poor performances by payers on the left side of the infield. Overall, we have been worse than our 13-14 record. I don’t have confidence in this group of players - even with a few pitchers + Perkins returning soon - performing well enough to win the NL Central. Gosh, I hope I’m wrong.
