  1. F' it, call him up, all he has to do is go 1-32 or have an ops above .213 against lefties to be an improvement.
  2. I don't know what the advanced stats say, but it feels like his D at 3rd has been pretty good too
  3. That was the type of win that naturally extended my bedtime by at least 2 hours
  4. And Renfroe might have been the hottest hitter in the lineup when he went down
  5. Im not clamoring for robo unps but that last pitch changed my mind.
  6. This season has been the most frustrated Ive been with Counsell's lineups. McCutchen consistently 4th agaisnt righties and playing over Hiura against righties, Yelich 3rd bo natter what, and Brosseau produces against lefties, he should be in the lineup everytime over Huira against lefties.
  7. Im not into that whole brevity thing, so cant all of us el duderinos get along?
  8. Yelich in left and him DHing seemed like the move if they wanted to keep Peterson at 3rd
  9. Especially with a lefty going, Id love to have their bats in the lineup instead of Hiura and Yelich
  10. Brosseau? Speaking of platoons, does anyone have the stat on what percentage of Brewer at bats in a given season, do you Brewera have against lhp vs rhp? Thanks in advance
  11. You responded to a comment about McCutchen vs righties and then posted all stats. .683, .652, .558 (this year) ops vs righties the last 3 years. Players normally gradually get worse as they progress into their mid 30's. And at this point its just about 1/3 into the season. You can argue hes going to get better if you want, but including stats vs lefties in response to a post about him hotting righties is misleading. I should say that I liked the signing because hed still been hitting lefties, am fine with him in the lineup vs lefties (for now), and I havent called for him to be DFA'ed.
  12. Thats a crap answer from Counsell. Im a fan of his but all options should be considered especially when you have better rh hitters available in an end of game situation. Also for the rate of $ per production, Counsell shpuldnt have to worry about sparing Cain's feelings.
  13. Id rather they be over cautious with Renfroe than have him het reinjured. Its a long season and they need him back, if for bothing else to give Taylor CF permanently
  14. If they release Cain, can McCutchen join him? At least Cain can still get it in CF, usually
  15. 2 up 2 down, winning run scores, I hate these extra new innings rules, back in my day.......... ill go back to yelling at clouds and telling kids to get off my lawn now
  16. Yes 1 out (ive had a little to drink). I didnt like it before the actual out, ball was hit hard. He didnt get a great jump (you could see from thw wide angle replay). Im not saying it was unprecedented or the most egregious or errors, but a mistake none the less
  17. Great start in a pinch by Alexander. Im not sure why Peterson runs on everything from 3rd with 0 outs. All in all, good road trio record wise (not health wise unfortunately).
  18. Im just glad Hiura got the start over McCutchen against a righty.
