  1. Miz, Harrison, pray for (insert something that rhymes with Harrison that will postpone a playoff game)
  2. Im glad Yoho is getting another shot. I know he struggled a little last year in the majors (similar to this year's Woodford). But that was a small sample size, and looking at his numbers in Nashville, he's earned it. Im hoping he figures it out. At the very least, it will give them time to get an idea if they need to pick up someone for that spot at the deadline. I'd rather audition people within the organization now.
  3. 12 teams in playoffs. 8 1/3% shot, 1 out of 10 is obviously 10%. Could be convinced to go up to 2 if they get the bye.
  4. They might need one or all of them to come through sooner rather that later depending on the current injuries and Woodford's performance.
  5. I love a terrible pun,. But I still grimaced a little as I read the title, well done.
  6. Agree in principal. They should have went with Woodford spot on the roster, last giy out of the pen. But if would be nice to have a better guy as you last guy out of the pen. I dont think Woodford is a legit MLB pitcher. I hoping they DFA him and start auditioning people for his job.
  7. Sunk cost. They are eating it one way or the other.
  8. Yeah, I'm a huge Turang fan, but that was an awful at-bat in a critical situation.
  9. What about against RHP, the majority of P's? I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone can defend a guy hitting .091/.178/.136. Thats terrible. I liked Perkins and his defense. He seems like a guy guy and I want him to be better. But hes been awful. And there is no good reason in my opinion to not try to replace him. To get 50% more production, 50%, a guy would only need to slash .135/.267/204. I have to think there is another OF in the organization that can do that or better. If they called up a guy who goes 3 for 30, that would be better, which is wild.
  10. Joey Ortiz has a .193 batting average. If given the opportunity, my batting average would be closer to Blake Perkins than Perkins is to Oritz.
  11. A couple weeks ago he had a terrible call go against him in the botton of the 9th witha challenge remaining and he let that go too. Hes the anti-Gary Sanchez.
  12. Is he? Miz has the best "stuff" theoretically, but statistically hes actually not. This is awesome that there is even a debate.
  13. Caleb Durbin and Andruw Monasterio for the best P in baseball. Matt Arnold is a legend. He had to do it because the last ace he stole from the Red Sox is hurt.
  14. Ortiz plays the best D, followed by Hamilton. And Hamilton is the fastest and therefore asset as a pinch runner. Rengifo is clearly the 1st on the chopping block, IMO.
  15. I have to think Rock was somewhere watching that sequence on a loop.
  16. In between innings is when id DFA him.
  17. Rengifo might not be able to hit water if he fell out of a boat, but at least he's doing it with the glove.
  18. Just as long as one of those other teams that decides against trading with us isn't Boston. They gave our second best starter 2 years in a row.
  19. I know many view wins-losses as an antiquated stat. But if Ashby continues this pace (as a homer I have no reason to believe he wont) and goes 28-0 with an era around 2, Im going to use my non-existent Cy Young vote on him.
  20. I posted a couple times about Perkins, and Im thrilled at how well the Brewers have been playing. It doesn't have to be one or the other. For example, Misiorowski, Ashby, Harrison, etc. have been great and their pitching success has brought me joy as a fan. And I also want Woodford replaced. Just because they are in 1st doesn't mean they can't improve.
  21. Id bring up Williams and if he doesnt hit either you send him back down when Lockridge comes back. If he does hit you put him at 3rd and let Rengifo go when Lockridge comes back. Or Lara, either way, with also considering Mitchell's injury history, it would be nice what the have in CF begind him.
  22. If they bring up Williams or Lara to replace him, they would have to slash .138/.269/.207 in order in increase production by 40% across the bar.
  23. I'm ready for any combination of Lara/Pratt/Williams to replace Perkins and Rengifo. How much worse could they be?
