Tyrone more than deserves a shot at the 4th OFer gig. Let the kid play unless someone obviously out plays him in spring training. He's ready.

I am pretty confident that Josh Hader will not be the same pitcher he is today in 2025. He screams arm issues to me. I'm all for trading him as soon as someone will pay our price. He is great to have, but every year with him on the roster is another year to spend waiting for the blow-up that seems inevitable. These are opinions of course, I am not stating anything as fact.

I can't imagine having the best defense in baseball with Yelich in LF, Hiura at 1B, a position he has never played, and Narvaez at catcher. That doesn't scream "best" to me. Have we improved from last year defensively? Yes, assuming Cain hasn't lost a step. I don't really put Shaw into the category of an elite defender. Have we improved offensively? Probably, assuming Yelich and Hiura's acts last year won't be repeated. Shaw is a wild card. We have no idea where he will be offensively. We still have Arcia unless Urias overtakes him.

Yes, yes, and yes! Watson would be our QB for the next 10 years. If it meant trading Rodgers and three 1st rounders, that is steep. That would give me pause. Rodgers and 2 first rounders? YES. It makes me giddy to think about yet another franchise QB to follow Favre and Rodgers though. How many teams can say they had back to back to back future hall of fame QBs start for them, in their primes?

I wasn't speaking politically. The pipeline being shut down is factual, not political. (well, factual if in fact it is allowed to happen) Anyways, thanks for the reply.

I'm wondering if shutting down our pipeline will have any effect on gas prices. It seems if we are going to rely solely on other countries for gas, prices have to continue to rise? Nearly all gasoline consumed in the US is produced in the US. It is made from crude oil that is both imported and domestically produced. I'm not real sure what you are talking about. That is why I asked the question. I didn't really know the answer, hence my question.

"Garbage for garbage" might work in a situation where one team has an overpaid veteran blocking a prospect at one position, and they find a team that has an overpaid veteran at a position where they need help. I agree with you that it doesn't make sense here, because Cain is only "blocking" someone if the Brewers were to sign another high-priced veteran (Bradley). They'd be creating a "jam" simply to trade for someone else's garbage... doesn't make sense. If the Brewers were to sign Bradley, I think all four of the OFs would remain Brewers to start the season. Garcia would likely see the biggest decline in playing time, but all four of them would get some necessary days off, so there would be PT for all of them. As it stands right now, someone like Taylor is probably going to get quite a few starts this season. The Brewers have some extra money to spend, so they'd rather see those starts go to a better player, while at the same time filling the hole that will arise next offseason when Garcia is gone. How do they know if Taylor is going to be good or not if they don't play him as the 4th OF? I think it's premature to say we need someone better when we don't truly know what we have in Taylor. I feel he has done a great job in his limited playing time. Would be nice to actually know what he is capable of at the big league level.

Why does that matter? If you must know, my vehicle gets between 26 and 28 mpg on my daily commute to work, which is about an hour total. A 15 gallon tank adds $9.00 to the total bill with every fill up. You don't find that significant? When it goes up to $3 per gallon, and it will, that will be an extra $15 per fill up. Maybe it's just me, but if I have to pay $10 - $15 more every time I fill up, that is significant in my world. That is almost $40 per month at the current gas price. When it goes up to $3 I'm looking at close to $60 per month. So yes, I do find that significant.

Gas prices. Gas prices are bugging me. When it hovered around the $2 mark for so long, you get used to it. When it gets up to $2.60, it starts getting expensive. Looks like it is going to continue rising, which is insane. I guess you don't know how good you have it until a change like the current trend occurs. Why the sudden hike at the pump?

It can be argued that video is not a purist way to play the game anyway. It's not a good look to have these guys whining about it. A lot of things in the world were different in 2020, deal with it like the rest of us. Did Carew, Gwynn, Ruth and Mantle have video to hit better? To be honest, I had no idea guys were this addicted to video during the game. Just another reason to respect the old guys who didn't have such a crutch.

He is pretty close in a lot of landmark offensive categories. I can easily see him playing at least another year after his current contract ends. Maybe with a low level scrubby team, but if he has even a decent year in 2021, he might be able to hook up with someone.

Does that mean he only stopped salt and sugar Monday through Friday, but Saturday and Sunday he went sodium wild? Jerkey and za? Binged out on Dew and Snickers bars?
