  1. Screw umpires. All of them. Even the good ones. I hate them all. If we don't have robo umps next year I don't plan on watching
  2. Tuned in late.....when did Cobb start throwing upper 90s? I haven't seen him pitch in a few years but all I remember is a 90mph sinker and a decent changeup
  3. Robot umps and the death of sabermetrics. That's all.
  4. I don't get it, Chi Chi Gonzalez has never been even close AVERAGE, let alone good. Why is he here?
  5. I keep forgetting Sophia can speak Spanish. Lol
  6. Kinda hard to imagine BA and "loathe" in the same sentence
  7. I'd love it if Counsell went on an epic rant after this game. Like Tommy LaSorda level.
  8. I think 56 pitches in an inning is more than worthy of having a new manager. He could get fired immediately after the last out and I wouldn't be shocked
  9. How many variations of "nothing too serious" have we heard this year so far?
  10. At this point, with his current batting average and OBP, I'd be fine with about 15 to 20 home runs out of the lead off spot
  11. Yeah, I don't mind having one or two Joey Gallo types in a lineup, even one more light hitting but excellent defensive infielder in the 8 or 9 spot would be OK....but the rest of the line up should be able to hit at least .260
  12. I was a big proponent of sabermetrics early on, but now I despise it with a passion and this is one of the main reasons. A sub .250 batting average is bad. I can tolerate .220 to .250 if the OBP is at least .320, but without that or gold glove worthy defense, those types should be on the bench, even if they have power. *rant over*
  13. I think this team is a good example of why 3TO based offense sucks. Not only is it boring even to avid fans, it tends to be very streaky
  14. It's like home plate umps are trying to make a case for an automated strike zone
  15. Faulting Cain for opting out during a global pandemic is just stupid. Sorry. What a terrible take
  16. I'm hearing good things about his defense and speed. With that I'd be happy with an OBP around .310 out of the 9 spot
  17. I'm actually pretty sad, but it was time. Probably the best defensive Brewers CF in my lifetime
  18. This is probably the best pitching staff in franchise history. A slump doesn't change that. The offense went cold, now the pitching is going cold. To me this feel like a really bad, somewhat unlucky stretch.
  19. This offense is starting to give me early 2000s vibes
  20. Blown saves happen and Hader was on an insane streak. The problem is the offense being hot garbage
  21. No. I was a kid during this whole era and none of it brings nostalgia. I mostly remember the horrendous pitching. The offense wasn't that bad IIRC
