    Well 💩. Did I say 💩? I meant 💩 💩 💩 !!!!! BUT... we were playing a team that hits like crazy and that has real chance of winning The Whole Deal. And we actually scored a fair bunch of runs (tho' not enough, alas). Getting swept by these guys is bad but not as bad as getting swept at home by the dismal Athletics awhile back. I'll delay slashing the wrists for now, but we really do need to kick some serious booty next series.

    Well this is indeed crummy. But in baseball you can't reasonably make a bunch of profound judgements based on a single game. You score 7 and give up 10 you always lose. Otherwise, if you score 7 you probably win. Come back tomorrow for more insanity.

    We are very good at putting pressure on pitchers; unfortunately, they're our pitchers.

    bad baserunning in any event, as was the contact play with the infield in. Of course, we probably couldn't have gotten it past the infield anyway. This team reminds me of my youngest daughter's softball teams: solid pitching, good defense, but only about 3 players who could actually hit. It's just not enough at crunch time.

    I feel like I have heard this too many times. Making the opposing pitcher throw a lot of pitches.. then failing to get a hit or to knock in a run. And never getting the hit that matters. Bughghghgh!
