  1. I didn't say I liked it...personally, I think it tastes terrible, but the GF loves it....so it's in the fridge.... On a side note, with opening day right around the corner, what do you guys put on your brats? Not asking how to cook them, just the toppings/condiments for them. For me...it's some Stadium Sauce or Sweet Baby Rays and a generous helping of heated saur kraut.
  2. Unlike the mustard...I'm pretty sure I can commit to roughly 6-7 of these: Sweet Baby Rays Honey, Brown Sugar and Regular KC Masterpiece (the GF loves this one) Secret Stadium Sauce McDonalds packages - for some reason I have 3-4 of these just sitting there, and I have no idea why
  3. I guess my main problem with keeping McClung has more to do with Villanueva getting shipped out to AAA, more than McClung being on a major league roster. Villanueva absolutely should be starting for this team, not sitting down in the minors. If the idea is to win now, keeping the best 25 players should really be the objective here, and I just don't think that is the case if McClung makes it and Villanueva doesn't...
  4. I remember getting .25 and that was a big deal...and I'm not THAT old...
  5. I must be a complete weirdo....I only have one! And it's the cheap, not very good, generic yellow bottle of mustard that I believe comes standard with every fridge purchase. I just don't really use mustard I guess.
  6. I would venture a guess that it comes out today. They're usually pretty good with their Preview issues, giving enough time to read it before the season actually starts...so I'm surprised it hasn't come out already. They took pictures last week for it at some point, as Ned was talking about it, so my guess is it arrives in the mail today, hits the stand in the next couple of days. At the very latest, next week Wednesday, but I'd be surprised by that one.
  7. The fielding by the computer does get a bit old. I can't for the life of me get a ground ball down the baselines, they field 95% of the balls right down the line, even the hard ones. That just doesn't happen. Same with the outfielders, they seem to be able to cover WAY too much ground, as they run down most everything down the line, and when they don't, they would throw me out at second if i didn't have speed maxed out. Other than that, I don't have too many complaints with the actual gameplay.
  8. I also made a CF, and I can tell you that it's incredibly difficult to get promoted. When I initially created my guy, I maxed out his speed (need the IF hits), power and contact (it only lets you get to a certain level and then you can't put any more points there) and then just kinda spread the rest out evenly (there weren't many left). After the season starts, you pretty much have to put the points on the goals the team gives you or you have zero chance of promotion. I was sick when it came out, so I had a ton of time to play it. I'm still on rookie mode, as I wanted to get my player somewhat decent before trying the better levels. I've played every AB for my guy, no simulating everything... I'm at around .420, 13 HR's, 55 RBI's, 50+ runs and 66 steals, 40 2Bs and a starting slot in the AS game.....would be more but I didn't start for the first 3 weeks.... I've done all that, and hit just about every one of my goals, made the all star team, and I still can't get promoted. I have about 2 weeks worth of games left, so hopefully at the end of the year. When I have extra points, I put them almost all in power or speed, as the offense gets you the most training points. The game is just kinda moving along until you get to the bigs. I don't think I've put any, or very few points into Durability, but maybe I've just been lucky with injuries.
  9. Not having the bobblehead in front of me to really look at, so I can't look at the exact dimensions, but it seems like he picked quite possibly the WORST possible spot to sign the bobblehead. It looks like it would be incredibly hard to sign it on his leg, especially since it's not entirely flat in that spot. Especially since Rickie's signature is a bunch of crazy lines, with nothing looking anything like "Rickie Weeks" anywhere. Wouldn't the helmet, or the dirt area be easier to sign?? I had Turnbow sign his bobblehead and he signed the base of it, whereas Bill Hall signed on the brim of the cap. That being said, still pretty sweet that you got to go to that thing and meet him and such. I'm jealous...
  10. 716-661 in favor of Marisa (who in my opinion was the best looking girl...but us BF.netters need to stick together, lol)
  11. I can only find the fast forward option in the regular gameplay, is it somewhere in the road to the show games? I played franchise last night and fast forwarded through that, but I can't find that option when I have my player in his carerr mode.
  12. I've gone to BW3's almost every Tuesday for about 2 years now, it's .40 wing night (it was .20 when we started going), and they have a happy hour from 3-9 so the beers are cheap...and there are a ton on tap. Probably close to 20. I've had every single flavor there, multiple times, and I'd have go with these hot BBQ, Asian Zing and Honey BBQ.
  13. The road to the show is pretty good, but it really bothers me that I can't just skip from one at bat to the next. It's such a pain to play defense all the time, not to mention actually have to stand on base when other people are hitting and "not get picked off". I wish they had the feature to skip stuff. It's going to take FOREVER to get anywhere in a career mode. I also liked that I could turn on auto-running, and then hit with the next hitter (Prince) when I was on base. I found that I scored a ton more runs for my player, as I'm a significantly better hitter than the computer is.
  14. U.S. postal code "53188" is subject to blackout for the following MLB teams: Chicago White Sox Chicago Cubs Milwaukee Brewers This sucks...I live in Waukesha, and would really be only getting the package to keep up on division teams....which apparently won't be happening.
  15. I really have having to play defense in the road to the show, was much nicer to just skip to AB's last year...unless i'm missing where to turn this off
  16. Best Buy in Brookfield had it around noon, though they didn't put it on the shelf yet when I was there. I had to ask someone I know that works there (I used to work there) and he went in the back and got it for me. I'm not sure what the deal is, but they will sell them to you if you ask for them.
  17. That ruins my plans also, as I'll be driving right past Best Buy in about an hour....grrrr
  18. Has anyone else noticed that Georgetown has seemed to have gotten the benefit of the doubt in the last 5 seconds of 3 seperate games this year: #1 - Non-goal tending call in the last second against West Virginia. It was a 1 point lead for GU and I believe it was Hibbert blocked a finger roll attempt in the final 2 seconds. It was extremely close, and in the replays I saw, probably was a goaltend. They didn't call it, GU wins by 1. #2 - Against Villanova a copule weeks back. Nova has the ball, less than 10 seconds left in a time game. Nova player takes a shot, and possibly gets fouled, no call. After a scramble, a GU player gets the ball and head up court. He slightly gets bumped, and the official calls a foul with .01 seconds remaining, 75 feet from the hoop. Makes both free throws, GU wins by 2. #3 - Against Marquette...it was hard to tell if James got him or not, but plays like that have been let go on numerous occassions and just as easily could have been not called. 3 games - 3 calls in the last 2 seconds, all in GU's favor. They easily could have lost all 3, and they probably should have lost to WVU and Marquette, yet they continue to get all this talk as a powerhouse, 2 seed in the tournament. They're a solid team, but those 3 games should be looked at a bit more closely when seeding for the tournament comes around.
  19. Sent you a PM
  20. Just to get clarification on this, I live in the city of Waukesha...if I get the Extra Innings package, will I be able to watch the Cubs games or will they get blacked out? Also, what does the Superfan offer that the regular package doesn't, and how much is it? Thanks.
  21. I ate a ton of them in college. They aren't all that bad, and I do have some in the house. It's hard to pass up something that goes on sale 10/$1.00. So I have some for a pinch or when we are a bit short on money that week. Am I the only one that makes them in the microwave? When I was in the dorm, the closest stove we could use was 2 floors away, so we always just threw the noodles in some tupperware, cover the noodles with water (as little as possible), heated it for a minute or two and threw in the seasoning. Tastes just the same from what I can tell. I was always a fan of chicken or shrimp flavor.
  22. I was there this past summer against the Tigers (I cheered for the Yankees, kind of, despite hating them with a passion). The stadium itself isn't really in that great of an area, so I wouldn't really want to hang out there all day, though near game time there are a ton of people everywhere. The game we went to actually had about a 2 hour rain delay, so we were able to pretty much walk anywhere we wanted, if we didn't mind getting wet. Aside from being crowded, I wouldn't think they would stop you from going down by the fiThe fans were a bit obnoxious (we sat in the bleachers) but not overly so. Cubs fans are significantly worse IMO. Though I'm sure all of that goes out the window for a Red Sox game. I actually had always wanted to go to a game at Yankee Stadium before they tear it down, and I must say I was a big disappointed with the entire thing. I really loved the historic value, but I was really unimpressed with most of it. The food was average at best, all of the walkways just appeared old and rundown. The game itself was great, the stadium...eh, not so much. Fell free to send me a message if you want any more detailed information.
  23. Great song, love the lyrics as well. I really think Weezer is vastly underrated as a band. I also really like the lyrics for "In the Garage" but I don't have time to find them online right now.
  24. For the Gonzaga Hall show, is there an admission fee? I used to go when I was younger and a lot of the shows were charging. I'd like to go, but I'm pretty cheap, lol. Do you sell a lot of signed 8x10's? I have quite the collection that I'm always looking to add to.
  25. Well that sucks. Hopefully I can actually make it to the signing.
