  1. Anyone watching the game? Is Peralta getting squeezed? At least 4 pitches this inning were very clearly in the strike zone called balls, including both the 0-2 and 1-2 pitches to Peralta.
  2. 2 outs, nobody on, Peralta up and we get 3 runs. Gotta love that!! Now shut em down Wily!!
  3. Well in today's case, there is no Brewers broadcast so they had no choice... Is this our first bases loaded at bat this year? I honestly can't remember one...which Braun was up though.
  4. That's generally what MLB network does I think. They don't have their own announce crews usually, they just take other teams broadcasts and put it on their network. At least in the few games I've watched on there. Nice to see Wily get out of there. Sure would be nice if the offense could wake up for an inning or two. I know young players are going to struggle and some will fail, but watching Segura and Davis so far this year has been really difficult. Both are scuffling big time right now.
  5. What just happened??? Groundout to first and Craig is still on first?
  6. I'm not watching, just on gamecast, but how do we (and the Cards announcers for that matter) know that RR instructed Gomez to bunt. Isn't it possible he was doing that on his own accord? Segura...killing me.
  7. I'm hoping with all hope that the new owners come in and immediately fire Hammond. Which I think is likely...he hasn't been even remotely successful, the owners will want their own guy and we're going to have a top 4 pick that could really change the franchise. If part of the deal is the team stay here, the new owners must have some plans for an arena - who knows if that's with Kohl money or not.
  8. MLB network feed is blacked out in the Milwaukee area, at least on DirecTV....bummer. Not that I'm missing us not scoring runs yet though.
  9. I could see that if he had wrestled in the WWE before, but considering he never has and to this point has had zero association with the WWE, I find it very hard to believe that he would just randomly show up on something like that - especially considering it had a WWE logo next to his name on the screen. I think he's very clearly under contract already...I'm just surprised they gave away the secret on an event like that (though there aren't many secrets in WWE these days anyways).
  10. Anyone watch the Warrior best matches special tonight? Cool to see all the matches, but what I found really interesting is that during the show they were having wrestlers give their thoughts on the UW - HBK, Steamboat...and then Sting. Yes, that Sting. So I guess he's officially signed some sort of WWE contract, just a matter of time before he hits TV in some capacity I guess.
  11. I was actually thinking this would have been a decent time for it, and you know he's dying having not used it for 10 games already. Happy with the 2 runs, but another run there would have really been nice.
  12. Wow, I won't fault Schafer too much for the failure as that was an absolute rocket but that's two in a row without a sac fly. Just frustrates me. Though hard to complain after they just handed us the two runs.
  13. HA. Well that's not exactly what I had in mind, but sometimes things just go your way. Another failure to hit a sac fly...but good grief. I don't even know what to say on that, lol.
  14. Come on Scooter, find a hole and let's widen this lead.
  15. And that's part of the problem. He's hitting in front of Braun and Ramirez. He needs to be more selective and look for pitches he can drive, get the count in his favor. He's swinging at everything, and teams are realizing that they don't have to throw him strikes early in the count and he will likely get himself out.
  16. I think Segura needs a day off. You guys are right, he hasn't squared a ball up or even put one in the air this whole series.
  17. What are we doing on covering the bases here? Unless there is some sort of extreme with the hitter only hitting it on the ground to one side, why are we moving the infielder on the pull side? It makes no sense and it's cost us twice now. That should have been a groundout to short, just as last night should have been a ground out to second. It's like we're trying to be too cute and it just cost us a run. I can sorta see it if a guy is throwing super super hard and you're not expecting the hitter to pull it, but Lohse certainly doesn't fit that bill.
  18. Went to Johnny Hammers again last night...great wings. It's a hole in the wall bar and the wait is a bit long to get food, but man are they good. Lots of flavors to choose from and they offer grilled, breaded or naked. For those in the area, it's definitely worth a trip. They have $.50 wings on Thursday, but even their normal price of 6 wings for 4.25 is pretty reasonable as well. One place I went recently that I would never return to is Biggs Roadhouse. It's near Mayfair on HWY 100. Horrible service, small, tasteless wings and really poor nachos. Definitely the bottom of my wing ranking list.
  19. I guess I don't see the point of having him on the roster if we're not comfortable putting him in for a 9th inning with a 6 run lead. Or a 5 run lead. Those seem like relatively low pressure spots and if he gets in trouble, you can always bring the closer in at that point. If he's only going to pitch in extreme blowouts, it's just a waste of a MLB roster spot. We're essentially playing every game with 24 guys.
  20. Has he always thrown this hard? Maybe my memory is going, but I don't recall him throwing this hard. Last night almost all his FB were in the 94-95 MPH range and his curveball has had a nice sharp bite to it.
  21. Not that we're not going to experience blowout losses (or super huge leads), but those type of games will hopefully be few and far between (at least when we're losing)...even bad teams don't get just destroyed on a regular basis. I know we want Henderson back (though messing with our bullpen now seems silly as they've been dominating), but at the same time, we can't just play with 24 guys all the time. Not to mention you did this exact same thing yesterday. Despite all that...I LIKE WINNING!!!
  22. Henderson not looking nearly as good tonight Couple MPH slower and much less in command. Walking a guy with a 5 run lead is not good. Get KRod up and in the game with one more base runner. Good thing we didn't put in Wang.
  23. Back to back games with a 6 and 5 run lead and we still can't get Wang in? If he gets in big trouble, you can still bring in KRod. When are you going to pitch him if you're not comfortable here? And by the time he does get in, it's going to be well over a week without appearing in a live game...I'm sure he'll be real sharp. Come on Ron.
  24. Alright Braun, deliver the knockout blow again please...
