  1. Counsell's walk tied the game at 1. Braun got his HR the next inning to give us a two run lead. I'm not sure I'd say he "set the stage" and until you mentioned it, the thought had completely been erased from my memory.
  2. They have to come out soon. I mean, there are people in 4 different cities with tickets to these games....that are in TWO days. People need to make travel arrangements, possibly hotels if it's a late game, babysitters, etc. This is getting pretty ridiculous.
  3. I agree, they had to have thought this through in advance. Here is all the matchups, what can we do? Then just pick the correct matchup board after last night. I don't get what is taking so long.
  4. Well the game would be in the CST, so no east coast fan would actually be there. So they're still just watching on TV....Either way, a team in CST is going to start at 9:30.
  5. I guess I don't see how the Rays game starting at 10:30 local time matters. If MLB was hoping for a West Coast team to be playing in that 9:30 slot, they more than likely were playing someone from the east coast anyway. To me it boils down like this: Brewers/Dbacks have to play again on Sunday where the Rays/Rangers do not. They could handle a late game Saturday night with Sunday off a lot easier than the Brewers/Dbacks could. Not that they couldn't, but that game is going to end around 1am and teams would have to play Sunday. So to me, it makes sense to have Brewers/Dbacks at 11 on Saturday. Shouldn't they have the times announced by now anyway?
  6. Anyone know if it's still possible to buy parking passes for this weekend? I'm assuming not, didn't get them with my tickets on accident.
  7. I have this in my basement right now....very rarely comes in THIS handy but it's sure nice sometimes. Come on Braves! Get a hit!!!
  8. ARE YOU WATCHING ARIZONA??? We'll take that two seed thank you very much.
  9. This is the type of pitcher that scares me. For starters, he's a lefty so Morgan can't play. But moreso because he's young, has no tape really and his numbers don't appear to be that good. I always worry about these guys in a big way, at least it's not an MLB debut. I hope the bats come out roaring. Lets hope Greinke is sharp and we jump on them early. We gotta win this one so I can let that stupid Dodger meltdown go.
  10. The whole inning as a joke. Third guy should have been out but the pitcher for no reason at all, fails to cover first base. Then Aaron Miles makes an error later in the inning. They just handed them two extra outs and they hit a walkoff slam. It's just absurd and the fact that something like that may cost us homefield is just hard to stomach. I really hope I'm wrong and we win tonight but Greinke hasn't been very good against the Pirates and he's going on short rest. I'm worried.
  11. It's been over 8 hours and I'm still ticked about this. It was just impossible for them to win that game. Whole rally starts when the pitcher fails to cover first base. Then and error gets made later. The Dodgers should have easily gotten 4 outs in the inning. Please win tonight Brewers.
  12. It looked like a no doubter but it landed in the first or second row of the bleachers.
  13. An infield hit, an 0-2 hit, walk, error (game over), walk, GS. 6 runs all with 2 outs. Homefield was literally 99.9% ours in the first round. It still might be but now we have to win with the bullpen tomorrow. I stayed up for this and it ends like that. Just incredible and frustrating.
  14. This is absurd. Seriously absurd. 2 outs nobody on, down by 5 and they win. Dodgers make an error and 2 walks in the 10th. Just unreal. I don't even know what to say right now. THis game was over and we had homefield this weekend. I'm seriously stunned right now.
  15. And he walks in a run. Tying run at first, winning run in Roberts at the plate. All after two outs and an error. Come on Dodgers!!
  16. 2 outs nobody on. Infield single. 0-2 hit, walk, error on the third basemen. Bases still loaded. 2 outs. 6-2 Dodgers. Tying run at the plate. Javy Guerra in to pitch. Game should have been over twice now.
  17. For the fourth time (at least, no exageration) in a week, the Cardinals have scored 3 or more runs in an inning after 2 outs and nobody on. They're on the verge of beating Houston now, about to be tied with Atlanta. I know many of you want them to make it but I sure don't. That roster and the way they are playing are scary in the post season.
  18. Yuni should have at least knocked it down, but let's not overlook the fact that Wolf gave up a double/single to the 8 and 9 hitters in this inning. That is not excusable and sets up for a big inning. The Pirates have 8 hits already too.
  19. You sure? I see Casey McGehee is at third base with Hairston in CF. Hairston at 3b, Morgan in CF. It's pretty simple here Ron.
  20. Not sure about Braun not playing. 1. He is like 6-11 lifetime against Morton 2. We need to win 3. He can have off Wednesday if it's meaningless and would have Thursday and Friday to rest for sure, plus another off day on Monday. Making it worse is that RR won't move anyone, so we get Kotsay in the three spot.
  21. I was at the game....my wife (who also has a twenty pack just not tonight) was in our basement (with 3 tv's) sending me updates of the Cubs/Cards game via text so I had them before virtually everyone following on their phones. When Braun was up and the count got to 2-1, I sent her a text message that said "Brace yourself. Braun is about to go yard here and the stadium is going to errupt". And then it happened and it was awesome. She asked me later how I knew or if I was just saying that (which would have been very unlike me). My only response was "You could just feel something was about to happen". There was no way of knowing, he just as easily could have grounded into a double play, but you just knew he was going to come through in some form or another. Or maybe I got lucky http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Either way, it was one of the coolest things I've ever witnessed and something I won't ever forget. We stayed for everything after but finally left. I turned and told my friends it would be fine, that we're going to see this 3 more times again this year......
  22. Morton....shudder. He dominated us once this year (though we did win). This one scares me a lot. Maybe he's wearing down and we can get to him.
  23. Regardless of where we play, I hope the two won't conflict. If we're on the road, I can easily watch the two at the same time. If they're at home...being at the game and missing UW/NU would suck, but it would happen. Virtually no chance of making it home without finding out the score. Not as concerned with the Packers, I don't want to miss it, but it's at home against Denver, not quite the same as Wisconsin and Nebraska. I guess we'll find out in a few days.
  24. The Phillies aren't exactly rolling right now, so it's not impossible that the Braves win some games in that series. Yes, the Cards took the series against the Cubs, but it's not like they dominated them. They lost Friday, they should have lost 1-0 on Saturday (3 walks and a WP to score 2 runs in the 9th) and won 3-2 yesterday. Yes, Houston is just terrible, but they could take one in the series. The Cardinals haven't dominated the bad teams like they probably should be. Should be interesting. I just want us to get homefield. Having the Braves hold on would be ideal, as they very vulnerable I think.
  25. Going tonight and tomororw for sure. Also have tickets for Sunday and Tuesday. I'd really rather watch football on Sunday, so please clinch in the next two games!!
