  1. The Brewers are on the cover of SI this week, Morgan is front and center. The question I have now is...do I get the SI signed? Or the 8x10 I have? Anyone have any magazines signed? Can you see the signature ok on the mag? Is it difficult to frame a magazine like that?
  2. The cover of SI, that's pretty awesome. Now the question is...do I get this signed by Morgan? Or the 8x10 I had lined up...
  3. Dillard will almost certainly not be on the playoff roster. We'll need less pitchers and he's definitely the last guy on the staff as it is. Green should come up and could at least be a lefty bat off the bench. It's just too smart for it to happen at this point.
  4. I have a real problem with the lineup. If you wanted to give guys off in one of the games, that's perfectly fine, but don't do THREE bench guys in the same lineup. Gave Casey off this game, then Hart and Lucroy in the next or something like that. You can have 2 lineups mainly full of regulars with a bench guy sprinkled in, or 1 lineup with the full squad and one that looks like the JV team. Which would you choose? Not to mention, why wouldn't you put the JV squad in game 2? With Greinke on the mound and Lincoln pitching?
  5. Good throw by Wilson and he's out there. Slide was tough but if Prince doesn't have to come off the base he's going to be out. He also couldn't knock downSeems the ball in the first inning either. Ugh. Come on Saito, let's get out of here still up 3 and I'll be extremely pleased here. Is it just me or has the strike zone been really inconsistent this afternoon?? Yet another ball that should have been an out. Hairston took a horrible angle on that one. Good Grief, the defense has really hurt us this afternoon. Now just have to hope to hang on.
  6. Well here we go. Bases loaded, one out for Wright. 4 run lead. This is probably the game here...
  7. He was clearly tired and came out with like 95 pitches, he never should have been in there. The main guys in the pen haven't pitched the last two games anyway. He was clearly tired and he left him in there at least two batters, if not three too long. Big spot here with Wright on deck. Come on Saito. Big spot here....never easy it seems.
  8. Oh good. Another start by Kottaras against a LHP. Ugh. Be nice to get Cappy today, he pretty much owned us last time we faced him.
  9. Narveson was NOT good when he was in the pen before. He struggled a great deal and only improved when he came back into the rotation. He needs to be starting. Plus, I really don't think Estrada is all that good of a pitcher unless he's just that much better as a starter. He had give up a run in 5 of 7 outings before these two starts.
  10. Thats 2 missed squeeze signs in a week. He at least put it in play, but a double play so thats not good. Enough with the squeeze already, or at least make it a sign that hitters don't miss. As annoying as the squeeze has been, that was a good spot for it. Instead we get the double play. I know we're winning, but the offense is really operating very poorly lately.
  11. Ugh, so frustrating. Get a chance against Kershaw, get a hit and he can't score from second. Then we just can't seem to execute in that spot lately. No sac fly, instead an easy double play to end the inning. Really needed to get a run there.
  12. If the Phillies get him it means the Brewers didn't put in a waiver claim on him. I have a hard time believing he would make it all the way to us, but if he got to Philly it means we didn't claim him. That would seriously upset me. One - we could certainly use him, as our bench still really needs that power threat Two - we'd be letting one of our top potential postseasons opponents (that is already better than us), get him
  13. Anyone know anything about Eovaldi? I know he has been good in his first two starts but I anyone know any more than that? He any good?
  14. If you're standing somewhere and the seats haven't been occupied by the 4th or 5th inning, I think you're ok to sit there. They may still show up, but I don't know how I could be upset at someone if I'm showing up to my seat halfway through the game. Sitting there in the first inning would annoy me though. Not that I would scream at them, but it is annoying and a hassle sometimes.
  15. I think he has to go back into the 5 hole, sliding Casey and Betancourt down to 6 and 7, where they probably should be. Casey has been better lately, but not overly so (aside from the 1 game). I think Rickie would provide a much bigger threat and protection for Prince, even if he was only 80 or 90%.
  16. Just curious, are you guys looking up the ex Brewers players by number somewhere? Or is this all from memory? I've been googling it but not having much success.
  17. Sorry about that. Couldn't think of another 33. I removed Nieves.
  18. Hope this is short lived here but..... http://i1121.photobucket.com/albums/l511/brwrsfan/fingers.jpg Rats, second. Still counts. Lets win this one!!!
  19. It depends when Weeks is back. It might very well not be until after September 1, in which case, you might as well keep them all. Though a Lopez for Green swap should happen. But that's another argument.
  20. Oh man, I hope you're right on that one. Wilson isn't very good either but he is way more valuable than Lopez. He hits slightly better but his defense is much, much better. Plus he doesn't look lazy and uninterested on the field. Can't find many complaints about tonights lineup. It would be great if we could win a game going away for a change. All these close ones are going to give me a heart attack at some point this season. I'm going to call for an 8-1 Brewers win. Prince and Braun both go yard, Yo goes 7 strong, with 8 k's.
  21. Hairston is miles better offensively and defensively from Lopez, it's really not even a question at this point. Let's just hope that RR is smart enough to realize it until Weeks comes back.
  22. Well he is starting tonight at 2b, over Lopez with a RHP on the mound. That can only be taken as a good sign at this point.
  23. In the super event that this does actually reach zero. Is it fair game to post as many pictures as humanly possible with 0 or 00?
  24. Yeah, but you can use Lucroy to PH in any game that Kottaras starts, not just when he's out there for Wolf. I think think the only reason he got PH for was because another lefty came in from the pen. And it made perfect sense then. Who knows though, he may have pulled Kottaras regardless. It would be nice to not always use Lucroy as a PH though, be nice to give him a a full day off from time to time.
  25. I don't think anyone has a problem with Kottaras as Wolf's personal catcher (Lucroy needs a day off, etc). I think people have a problem when it's a lefty on the mound and we put Kottaras out there. That makes it harder for us to win, at least from an offensive standpoint. Having the option to start Lucroy last night and then Kottaras against a RHP later in the series would have been ideal.
