  1. The 2026 Mike Boeve Reclaiming My Status Tour continues. You love to see it!
  2. Thanks for clearing that up. Focusing on the Tools and the underlying data is generally the consensus approach across baseball - no disagreement there whatsoever! Here's hoping! We all know the odds are likely not in favor of anything but a small handful. BUT...as a dreamer
  3. You are not alone in your disbelief in Dickinson and it's hard to get jazzed about a 100 mph HR to CF as a 3rd on his season. BUT he is seeing improved results and that means something. Regardless of latching on solely to big names, when the org depth players start producing it is noteworthy and worthy of celebrating, imho. As someone who cares about the players, and who wrote ML reports for many years, I personally think using 'stinky' when the team has seen fantastic results since losing real Blue Chippers is a strange approach. BUT, that may just be me. I'm not trying to, nor do I want to, change your mind on any of this. Just offering my own opinion. I don't think anything you said above is incredibly obvious, btw. I don't think other posters did either.
  4. This 2nd SL roster is quite fun. There I said it. Honestly, from a talent vantage point this is about as good (likely much better) than the Tobias Harris/Henson SL roster that also had Doron Lamb, Brian Butch and Larry Sanders:
  5. Juan Martinez hit his first Low-A long ball today and I am still trying to determine if he hit it out with a sand wedge. What a nice poke! You can just see he has the frame and build to become a real threat. Really nice specimen of a ball player.
  6. 12-4 in the second half. 1.0 G lead in First Place over this same Beloit team they just put an absolute throttling to...and the 'lineup got stinky'?!? If anything, we've seen the T-Rats lineup showcase what we should all be truly excited about: the top end depth of our system has pushed the greater system depth to new heights. Guys are stepping up! No Payne? No Pena? No worries. They still have very good improving youth in that line up. Don't sleep on the very improved plate approach and results of Daniel Dickinson. Don't sleep on the much improved output from the pitching staff.
  7. As a Tyler Rodriguez 'Truther', his season pleases me greatly. I almost fainted last week: he hit a long ball! Castillo's bounce back is a BIG deal for his career - he really struggled mightily in 2025. Hall has always had it in Him - you could see the athleticism and he's always had a really pretty lefty stroke. All three guys just adding truly meaningful depth play in 2026. I keep saying it but it's (probably not, actually 😅) worth saying again in this Echo Chamber of wonderment: the system is just SO deep. When we have these depth guys elevating their play and consistently producing?
  8. There are deeper games within the game at play. They also highly value the clubhouse and the relationships and camaraderie therein. We may be looking at numbers and results because that is all we have, but I have to imagine Greg Jones made an impression even if there was very little in terms of results to back that up.
  9. Boy, it always pains me when our lil Scrappers exhibit the resounding Power of Friendship and take down the Classiest Org in MLB in their Ballpark. These two one run dubs were for Tony LaRussa and the integrity of baseball.
  10. I woke this morning in a stupor of "I truly can not believe how far the goalkeeping has fallen off." We used to be in the upper echelon of goalies. Meola, Friedel, Keller, Howard et al. Freese was just so egregiously bad last night. The errant misplay is its whole level of incompetent decision-making and skill in the moment, yes, but he was unsure of his positioning on the entirety of the first three goals by my eyes. He was not in a position to even make a play - he was shuffling feet and unsure of what he was seeing and how to respond in real time the entire duration. This looked like a player who wasn't ready to play under those lights or is just simply not remotely an international level player. I'll say it til the cows come Home: the USMNT will remain an afterthought until they learn how to recruit and develop a complete and cohesive unit in the back end. In the past we at least had the Goalie to make up for the Agooses of the world - yet another incompetent but somehow celebrated sub par veteran defenseman. Miles to go.
  11. Liked what I saw in Burries minutes tonight. He's just an all-around very solid basketball player - he'll be a boon in a young rotation. Kam Jones looked inspired and healthy - nice to see! Bogi shows real flashes offensively. Still needs to get stronger. Needs to continue to work that outside shot and work on screens and defensive foot speed. Still see the vision but he's going to be spending lots of time in Oshkosh and that's a good thing for his development. Malique Lewis has real defensive chops but you can see the 60th pick stash reality there. Given those defensive chops, tho, there's a vision there. I do wonder if a Boston Jr. or an Austin aren't stating their cases for an Exhibit 10 contract? Hard to read the tea leaves. Both have flashed.
  12. Come on, man. I'm sorry but we shouldn't allow ourselves to invest meaningful thought here. Balogun was their best scoring threat the entire tournament. That's a boon to a club looking to win. Pepi is a non-factor national team international player as he currently stands today. He hasn't been a meaningful USMNT player since 2024. These are professional athletes. The red card controversy may have been a distraction for fans of soccer but, unless you think these players are made of egg shells, the team would have dialed in and tuned out that noise. You're down 2-1 coming out of the gates of the second half. You are maintaining decent amounts of possession. Then Freese does whatever he does in that inexplicable botched moment. Is that because Balogun was allowed to play? Come on. That was the finishing blow. It was over. This wasn't even the first time such a suspension of a red card in a World Cup has happened - I believe it's the fifth? The team laid an egg but, regardless of their feel good play in the early stages, this team lays lots of eggs as it is. Take the Turkey loss as a microcosm. They have had many performances like this over the past four years. Their weaknesses were exposed by a much more strategically and fundamentally sound squad. Their defensive woes are and have been their issues for some time. Belgium is simply put the better squad. Pulisic was a no show for most of the tourney after re-injuring himself yet again. They have to get better - they've had to get better for quite some time. On a side note, I am somewhat validated the nation finally saw how truly below average Tim Ream is as a defender on this stage. He has been a net negative player nearly his entire career. The fact the USMNT program hangs their hat on a 38 year old below average defender tells anyone who pays attention all they need to know about the state of the USMNT developmental program. @Cool Hand Lucroy hits it square on the head: the problems in the USMNT program continue to be the problems of the program. They truly struggle with the big picture.
  13. They had the Bethalter chance and Balogun's mis strike at a tough angle. I think he had upper near post but he got crossed up. Pulisic being made of glass certainly has done them no favors most of this WC - Pepi just isn't very good. All around, Belgium is just a much better squad. More poise. More size. More skill. Bummer to go out like this but not all that surprising in the end. Grateful they gave the country some inspired moments. More than I anticipated.
  14. That was an All-Time goalie gaffe on the biggest stage. Can not happen. Really a shame our former strength - the USMNT has historically always had elite gk's - is now pretty much a glaring weakness. Man. That was as bad as it gets. And, the Chef's kiss was Reamsy whiffing the block and clear under his foot as he tried to kick parry it aside.
  15. This is unfortunately what I personally foresaw as the competition stiffened and the USMNT began facing legitimate offenses. Plenty of Game left to recollect BUT our defense as a whole is just too vulnerable against better opponents. It is and has been our Achilles heel for yearssss.
  16. I fondly recall Blake's promotion to Biloxi just last summer and how he immediately welcomed that Knoxville ballpark to his rediscovered Boom Stick! He hasn't really skipped a beat since that promotion and we are all the better Brewers Minor League Fanatics for it. Keep going, young man!
  17. That is am interesting approach or tendency and I can't say 'Frandy LaFond' seems any more made up than 'Cooper Pratt'.😆
  18. OF Frandy LaFond continues to remind us of why many of us were quite excited about his skillset when he first signed back in the 2024 class. He is sneakily putting together a very good small sampled DSL season (62 PA). Hopefully, this puts him back on the prospect map; he continues earning those PA's; and this type of output continues in good health!
  19. RHP Peyton Niksch is fast becoming my favorite Brewers undrafted gem. He deserves more shine me thinks. Really nice to see Meneses debut with two scoreless, hitless, walkless, 2 K frames!
  20. He had a pretty rough rookie season and experience but he also was dealing with a pretty significant back injury that delayed his entire season by several months. There were likely stronger 2-Way candidates but it's always nice to see a Wisco or Marquette guy get a hometown opportunity.
  21. I always have a special affection for any affiliate beating any Dodgers affiliate anywhere😅 A couple 2-3 years back the Mega - 2022 & 2023 summers- were really good and consistently gave the Brewers squads fits. Always lovely to see the mediocre results (no offense to the players 😁)... Come to think of it, that score looks awfully similar to the Cubs score vs Red Birds yesterday. Poor fellers. Played their hearts out!
  22. Can I just say how much I love when you give us these updated numbers. I see it. You see it. BUT to see it written out and to read it. Re-read it. Scratch the chin etc.
  23. This is precisely why I was lightly poking fun of our BF Top 20 Prospect Voting Community (BFTTPVC 😁) for (a) not even having Frias in the voting pool - rightfully, they now do (b) not voting him into their Top 20 until this month. Anywho, glad the voters woke up some. 18 is still much too Low. If you could hear how the industry scouts talked and talk about his tools you would understand why I was laughing.
