  1. Ahhh, yes. It's our annual month to opening day lead-up trickle in of devastating injury news. May these young men heal up and tap into more resolve to come back stronger and more mentally tough. Brutal. Every season I nervously enter the month of March. Man. I just feel for the players and their families.
  2. Updated Coaching designations posted today. Sure looks like we are shifting back to a 3-4 Base: I know nothing about this hire but from afar it would pique my curiosity as 'interesting'?
  3. There are fewer things more on brand in sports than a Wisconsin based sports team choking away their opportunity. For all you lifer Bucky fans, I'm sorry for your loss today. I'm sure it stings. Sadly, we've all been there one too many times in the past 25-30 years.
  4. Not expressly Minor League spring training related but likely deserving of recognition.
  5. I know what you are saying here and I generally agree but also: it's March Madness and that can essentially happen to anyone. It is such a spectacle.
  6. I think we can pretend it's both - for morale!
  7. March Madness is nearly always dictated by the quality of a team's back court. You'd be hard pressed to find a back court duo playing more impactful basketball at just the right time than Bucky's Boyd and Blackwell. My goodness, have a tourney.
  8. Hey, they won the game and advance. Key Big is down and out for the foreseeable future but trending well. Take the 'W' regardless of the warts. Doesn't matter how you win in post-season play. Just win. Today's goal was accomplished despite its flaws.
  9. - C Jacob Nottingham has re-upped with the Mariners on a Minor League deal - Some tough news for RHP Robert Stock
  10. What a week for Men's hockey n BBall at Buckeyville! Incredible stuff..
  11. Huge results for Bucky tonight. 7-3 W at PSU and ND took OSU to OT. Automatic Quarterfinal Home ice. Gotta love it!
  12. Indeed. I am daily in a state of disbelief this organization is paying Doc Rivers top 10 HC money. To have the amount of money these owners have to simply throw it in the trash is a certain type of elite privilege, I guess. Whatevs. Directionless rudderless ship. Bucks led the Hawks by 6 at the half. Bucks led the Bulls by 16 in the 3rd quarter. The Doctor is cooking. Top 5 NBA victories proving once again if you do anything long enough some form of recognition comes your way.
  13. Most recent news was concerning:
  14. Spencer and Jack chimed in quite favorably on Sproat's outing:
  15. LOTR fans: The Mound King of Drohan
  16. Yeah the weight loss thing is a bit of a 'Huh?' pause moment for sure - especially when he is getting notably pounded in the early going. Hoping everything is OK and they give him the time to build back up in a good way. Thankfully, we certainly don't appear to lack the depth to cover those innings meaningfully should we need to do so for any amount of time. Where I 'worry' (I say this very lightly) is Murphy can lean on those trust guys a bit too much and if Koenig does indeed need time will Murphy see that too? I have to think he will and he does. I still scratch my head daily this Spring at the insane pitching depth we have post-Peralta.
  17. I was concerned about this too, initially. BUT, then I took a step back and acknowledged this is the first time we are getting ST FT Statcast data - we don't have a reference to his historical ST ramp up. This outing assuaged any near term concerns I had. Electric: Hopefully this is a more accurate sign of where he is when he needs to be his best.
  18. I can not get over how much better the top of the Western Conference Central is than any other division in NHL hockey. Wild are 7-2-1 over their last 10. The sole blemishes coming via consecutive post-Olympic hiccups vs Utah on the back end of a road B2B after taking the Avs in Denver 5-2 out of the break. They then lost at home 3-1 (empty netter) with the Blues Hofer playing like Gold Medal Helley. No matter they come out last night and throttle the East's best in Tampa Bay 5-1. Despite going 7-2-1 they've lost 4 points. Dallas is on a 10 Game heater. In fairness, the Stars haven't really played any of the elite of elite in this heater whatsoever - still; a 10 Game heater in any professional League is no trifling thing. Wild beat the Stars 5-2 in early December back in Minnesota - the Last time they played. Stars beat Wild 5-2 in Dallas in the first week of the season. Wild are a MUCH better team and a much different team now. None the less, it's insane they are going H2H in their first post-season series. I don't like it for either team. They should be playing each other for a chance at the WCF.
  19. Honestly, that may be the most impressively pathetic loss in my history as a Bucks fan. Just an incredible display of inept basketballing. Allowing a 27-0 run to a team actively trying to Tank and who has essentially not won a game in a month is incredible. The Doctor, as per usual, was cooking. The players showing near zero meaningful effort. A thing of indescribable putrid beauty.
  20. I just want to say I am in awe of the volume of MLB ready pitching depth this Brewers team has. Drohan is nasty. IF he is healthy in 2026 I believe he is going to pitch a lot of MLB innings.
  21. Atlanta is 9-6 over their past 15. Just gor a healthy inspired Kuminga back with 27 off the bench last night. Can he keep up that type of impact? Hard to say but he looked quite good doing it. Charlotte is 12-3 over their past 15 and had an incredible win streak within. They've been playing a very fun brand of basketball of late. Buckaroos are 8-7 over their last 15 and are still without Giannis. Yes, they've played much better of late but that Play-In is not an easy get given how the teams in front of them have been playing.
