Oh boy. He gives up another well hit ball. Just over the outstretched glove of Rodriguez in LF. Bounces to the wall. Double. Runners at 2nd and 3rd. 3-2 lead nobody out. -
Hardin gets his 5th K to ends his fourth. Fantastic work in his debut. 5-2 Shuckers lead.

Johnson is going for the three inning Save but he gives up a lead-off double to the left CF wall to open his ninth. Ruh roh Raggy!

Walther leads off with the dub. Made, Peña and Bitonti go down via strikeout and they were dominanced to a man. Bitonti went down on a 99 mph heater. Filthy stuff.

Peña has had two really poor K's tonight. For such a fantastic hitter he still has his moments. Both were swinging and both were in the dirt in pitcher's counts.

Hardin opens up the fourth frame with a lead-off homer just over the right CF wall. 108 mph off that bat, however. Scorched. 5-2 Shuckers lead.

Hey now! Walther scorches a double into the RF corner. Real nice easy oppo poke on an inside sinker. Hopped just short of the wall. A lead off bottom of the 8th double.

And Lara sends home Wilken and takes 2B on the throw home. Poke through the left side of the infield.

I personally think so? I think it entirely depends on the Trade Deadline. He's really just a fantastic vet. I know it hasn't worked at the MLB level. I still believe in the player and the talent. He has massive pop in that bat. He is just fine defensively everywhere he plays. His best spot is first base. He's more than serviceable at 3B and RF.

Oh hey! It's a 1-of-3 outcome for our boy Brock Wilken. Wait for it. His 35th double! That's 11 more than anyone else in the Southern League. 😅

Made has just massively improved his all around game since early in the season. His defense has come along immensely in an extremely short period of time. We should all be incredibly encouraged by what we're seeing.

95 mph K looking for Hardin to end his third. That's 4 K and just 1 poke through 3 IP. Lovely. Vaughn sends in Dalbec with an RBI grounder bouncing over the 3B line. Yeah baby. 3-2 Sounds.

Oh hey it's just another Bobby Dalbec double. My goodness. Absolutely launched that ball to the RF warning track. He is en fuego. Have I told you I love me some Dalbec? HAVE I?!

Stallings saw one cross on a weak grounder to 2B - he fielded it and just beat the runner. AND, a 108 mph grounder to Delgado who dove and stopped the ball but couldn't catch it clean. Runner beat it out by a half step. 2-2 game. Bottom of the third the Sounds will bat.

Stallings is in one out bases loaded trouble in the third. Nashville leads 2-0. He just walked Greg Allen after a lengthy AB. Let him off the hook with a ball way high and outside. LHP Bjorn Johnson has relieved Meccage. Restituyo bomb over the LF wall! Whoa. 4-1. Was not expecting that. LOL.

Man. I've seen most of SPain's bases loaded AB's. They are incredible. He enters a whole new zone. He was 0-2. He is now 2-2 and has fouled three straight.

OH my. Spain missed a line drive double/triple down the RF line by about 1 foot outside the line. Whewwww. So close. Roped that ball. Long strike.

Shuckers suddenl have the bases juiced and Mr. Bases Loaded at the dish (5-for-10 on the season) RF Garrett Spain. One out. Wood walked to load em up.

Meccage completes six frames - last out on a check swing K on a really nice low off-speed pitch (I believe a slider). That's 4 K. I believe this is his longest outing? Too lazy to look. 😅

The main thing? They are both incredible young talents. Incredible. Peña just line out hard to the deepest part of the CF warning track. Nearly had an XBH for an RBI.

A Lara walk. A Zavi single up the middle and we have runners on the corners in the Shuckers 2nd. One down (Wilken K). Muddies flashing their D in the sixth! Rodriguez reached over the LF wall and snagged the first out (he's down that twice in two weeks - the last was in RF). Di Turi fields a ground ball deep down the 3B line. Throws a one-hopper up the line. Bitonti grabs it and makes the tag and holds on. Two down. Mound visit. Meccage at 71 pitches.

Mitchell has now walked and singled to RF. On base both times early. Men on 1st and 2nd. Delgado had walked with two down.

Ahead 1-2, with two down in the second, Hardin chooses to tip his cap to Luke Adams instead and hooks a slider way inside in the dirt hitting the lefty batter on the foot. Noice! Here's to you, Luke! He gets the pop up to Adams on the following pitch to end the inning. Ball don't lie! 1-0 Shuckers trail headed to their half of the 2nd.
