  1. Woessner gives up a two run single to RF with two down. Doh! Shuckers now trail 5-2.
  2. Welcome to Triple-A RHP Joel Payamps. He takes an 0-2 count full and then gets hit for a 3-2 oppo double on a heater on the outer black. Looked familiar.😅
  3. Well, if the Mudcats happen to lose this game in 11 they will look back to Langhorne's WP in an 0-2 count to the first batter he faced. It advanced the runner to 3B. He got the K. He then got the fly out to Nadal in LF who charged and threw accurately but the runner tagged and just slid in under the tag. Tough!
  4. Anderson goes down looking on a heater that was too close to take in a 1-2 count. May have been just outside. But, can't take that pitch. On to the 11th. 3-3 game.
  5. Bitonti swings and K's on a pitch in the dirt. Bad form, Eric! Doh!
  6. Peña proceeds to grab his 24th SB to get into scoring position. I LOVE this young man's game and am so glad he is a Brewer. Advances to 3B on a WP. Bitonti in a 1-2 count.
  7. No matter. Who other than Luis Peña and his third poke of his night. Tie game. 3-3 bottom of 10.
  8. Man, Xtras. Payne is in an 0-1 count. The ump calls strike two looking on a pitch easilyh a foot outside the zone. Absolute butcher job call. Brutal. He's been terrible all night long. Braylon then goes down looking on an actual strike - inside heater on the inner black. Brutal.
  9. Yeah those weights are never right. They are typically artifacts to when they first signed. He's at least 150 at present 😜
  10. Boy RF Jose Anderson made a fantastic leaping catch to grab the second out of Langhorne's 10th inning. Sac Fly. Could very much have been extra bases. He leapt and snared that puppy before the wall backing up hot. Nice play! Two down. 3-2 as Manfred's man scores on the play - he had advanced to 3B on a ground out to 2B.
  11. The last two innings I've seen RHP Elvis Peguero pitch as a Sound are the best two innings I've seen from Peguero in a year? Just flat out dominant. Love to see it.
  12. RHP Bo Bowman tips his cap to Wichrowski stranding his runner at 1B with consecutive K's. And outer curve swing and miss. A high outside heater swing and miss. Both to lefties. Really nice work, Bo!
  13. Wichrowski will leave down 3-1. Still. Got his pitch count up. Faced some late adversity. Great outing as a whole. We build from here. Loved what I saw. Just keep stacking and staying healthy.
  14. Di Turi! Ties the game in the bottom of the eighth with a double to the right CF gap. This young man just keeps stepping up. 34th RBI of his season. Incredible. 2-2 game.
  15. Man, RHP Melvin Hernandez has a really advanced change-up. That is a really nice pitch.
  16. That'll be credited as an OF assist for Lara. He now is tied for the lead in all of Double-A with 7 on his season. Incredible.
  17. I can confidently say I do not like the home plate umping in pretty much any of the games tonight. I feel like Wichrowski just got squeezed on what should have been a strike three heater on outer black but he is credited with a walk instead. Falls behind 3-0 to the next hitter before he laces an RBI single into CF. 1-1 game. Lara makes the smart relay into the pitcher's mound and they get the runner in a run down rounding second. Heady heady play. Tie game we head to the bottom of the 5th.
  18. The Mudcats lead all of Minor League baseball in walks. Amazing.
  19. Wichrowski: 43 pitches through 4 shutout innings. Is that good?
  20. Yeah, between that pitch and his 97 mph heat he's just hitting on all cylinders. As Javik said: filthy.
  21. Boy, Muddies blew a bases loaded one out opportunity in the bottom of the 6th. Anderson K'd on an inside change-up. Di Turi flew out to shallow RF. Darn. Still trail 2-0.
  22. I did not realize the Rays had promoted Gregory Barrios to Montgomery (yes, that Barrios). He is hitting 0.091. He popped out weakly to Warren (who made a fantastic leaping snare earlier) in shallow right CF to end the Biscuits 3rd frame. 1-0 SHuckers still lead.
  23. I'm going to try no to jinx us again but it needs to be said: Wichrowski is really putting it all together his past few starts. Looks really good. Everything working. Speed ranging 80-to-97 mph.
  24. Another Matt Wood HR. Sheesh. ABsolutely killed that ball. Four hits in Double-A. 3 HR. 108 mph off the scoreboard in RF. The very top of the scoreboard, no less. Sheeeeesh. Shuckers lead 1-0.
  25. Made had an error earlier on a ground ball that appeared to surprise him with how it died instead of hopping up into the glove - he may have lifted early. No matter. He's made two fantastic charging plays as well at 3B tonight with two incredibly accurate throws across his body - one to 2B and one to 1B. The defense continues to trend up.
