  1. That's two very well hit pull balls from Di Turi to open his night at the dish. He rips one to the corner and it is misplayed and he easily gets to 2B standing up - they give him the single and an E9.
  2. Well, I'm not worried either, per se. BUT, a spade is a spade: his swing is completely messed up right now. No timing. The swing plane is all over the map. Lotta fixing to do in there. Hope he can get to that in season. It's pretty ugly right now - the numbers speak the truth here.
  3. Well, Walther inexpertly chases a weakly hit flare up the 3B line. Smith is 3 2/3 IP into a No-No and a Perfect Game. Let that ball go foul. Lack of awareness. Runner reaches on what will be ruled an infield single. Young player making an over-aggressive young mistake.
  4. If you want to know what I'm talking about with Payne's mess at the dish right now. Just watch the shape; timing; and form of his swing to open his second AB. 1:37:53 on the replay. It's just totally discombobulated. He naturally does that ol' Jesus Chirinos thing by taking his load down the 1B line. I'm not a fan of that, per se, but he's done it since his rookie year. I'm more talking about the timing and the swing path in relation to that. It comes across reallllly wonky.
  5. That's a 109 mph 2-run jack over the straightaway CF wall. Sheeeeeesh. That's 5 ding dongs in just 3 games. 😂
  6. I am going to say this again. I said it last week. And, I'm saying it because it really is glaringly obvious and I don't like that it is: OF Braylon Payne's swing is a complete discombobulated mess right now. I do not like what I'm seeing at all. 🫣
  7. Bitonti with two very nice plays at 1B to assist Smith with another 1-2-3 frame. He adeptly snags and scoops a short-hop throw up the 1B line from Made at 3B. He then expertly snags a hard hit grounder down the 1B/RF line and cooly trots and underhand scoops to the covering Smith. Really solid work there on both plays. 0-0 on to the bottom of the third.
  8. Things getting mildly interesting in the 2B. Two down. A Di Turi liner skips past the diving 2B for a single. Walling pokes a goose snort 3-2 infield single and the charging SS tries to nab Di Turi at 3B but throws wide. Di Turi stays. Walling advances to 2B. Runners in scoring position for Walther who take high and then wields a sword. 1-1 count. And, he grounds out to 3B. Another RISP sutation squandered early.
  9. Current posted Sounds line-up card shows Seigler at SS. I am going to guesstimate that is a mistaken submission.
  10. Another 3-up, 3-down frame for Smith. Two groundouts to Peña. A fly out to Anderson in RF.
  11. Bitonti reach flies out to shallow left CF. Wasted early opportunity there. On to the 2nd.
  12. Well, Payne grounds out to 2B. Made gets to 3B. Peña grounds to the 3B and Made is caught off the bag. Tagged out in the run down. Infield ump appears to have blown the call at 2B calling Peña safe on a late slide - ball beat him and in true Minor League fashion he made the call from behind the play. SO, Peña is now at 2B with two down. Bitonti will try to do damage. He falls behind 1-2.
  13. Made oppo reach double. Team leading 10th dub of his season. Heck of a slice on a challenging pitch behind in the count. LF'er couldn't quite get a clean glove to it - deflected off the webbing in a sprinting lunging attempt.
  14. Smith opens 1-2-3. Fly out to Anderson in RF. K. Groundout to Pena at SS.
  15. - C Nick Kahle (potentially corresponding to Quero's re-instatement) was placed on Nashville's Development List
  16. If you're like me, leading up to the first pitch you are getting comfy and checking in on greater Brewers Minor League items. Let's get you started. Here's Mudcats announcer Chris Edwards having an extended dugout chat with the Brewers' Tom Flanagan:
  17. Broadcaster Chris Edwards sits down with Brewers Senior VP of Player Ops Tom Flanagan for an extended dugout chat:
  18. Yuppers. Noted HERE by @wiguy94. But, it never hurts to share again in case anyone missed it.
  19. AND, that's definitely a wrap. A patented DSL consecutive Wild Pitch Cleveland Walk-Off! 😂 ACL Brewers Blue lose 12-11. Fitting end. Yeeesh.
  20. Mendez replaces Moreno to begin the ninth. He opens with consecutive singles putting men on 1st and 2nd. He follows with a pop out to 1B. He then walks the next batter to load the bases. This half inning certainly tips the cap to the Brewers Blue overall performance on the day. Can he escape?
  21. Well, it was a three-up and three-down ninth for the Brewers Blue - ending with an Antunez swinging K. Let's see if the pitching staff can muster another scoreless frame to steal this 'W'.
  22. I really appreciate the finer details of these early games. For instance, lead-off OF Brailyn Antunez tipping his cap to salute departed INF Kevin Ereu with his 0-for-6, 3 BB, 1 K, 1 R output so far. That is a savvy vet move for such a young player. Little things like this - beyond the box score - really keep me glued to the Game Log!
  23. A DSL Spesh: 9 SB through 8 for the Crew Azules. One CS in that mix. Moreno gave back 2 and it is 11-10 in the 9th. Yowza. This is a DSL Happy meal.
  24. "We call those kinds of guys 'Outdoor Cats'..." So good. Sweetie, ftw.
