  1. Another Matt Wood HR. Sheesh. ABsolutely killed that ball. Four hits in Double-A. 3 HR. 108 mph off the scoreboard in RF. The very top of the scoreboard, no less. Sheeeeesh. Shuckers lead 1-0.
  2. Made had an error earlier on a ground ball that appeared to surprise him with how it died instead of hopping up into the glove - he may have lifted early. No matter. He's made two fantastic charging plays as well at 3B tonight with two incredibly accurate throws across his body - one to 2B and one to 1B. The defense continues to trend up.
  3. Alfaro gets things going for the Sounds with a two-run double off the straightaway CF wall. Noice! 2-0 Sounds. Meanwhile, I see RF Jose Anderson hit a two strike triple deep off the RF wall. That's the 8th triple by a Mudcat. Man on 3rd. Two down bottom of 4.
  4. And now to play catch up. Just back inside from a half hour of farm animal chores.
  5. Man, I swear the umps. Made is called out on a foul tip but that ball very clearly hit the dirt first. It will be recorded a strikeout. Both umps missed that. Classic.
  6. Harrison may be leaving this Charleston start early - which would be weird...he was dealing. And he's gone 6 IP several times of late. Chris Edwards is saying their bullpen arm is speeding up his get ready routine. Hopefully, Harrison is OK. Very talented pitcher.
  7. Bitonti stays in the game. Phewwww. Got a wee nervous there.
  8. Oh for crying out loud Bitonti is shaking out his right hand/wrist after sliding back to 1B. My gods. Give us a break.
  9. Holguin's debut Low-A AB. How about you face a mammoth who touches 99 mph? Go for it, young man! 😅
  10. OR, a jam shot shallow RF fly out just in foul territory. I tried. I really did.
  11. Would be an awesome time for Jose Anderson to get his first long ball in Low-A. Just sayin'. JUST sayin'.
  12. Bitonti is hitting 0.367 over his last 8 games. He takes a walk to start his evening. Man, can we get this version all the time? We deserve it with all the injuries we suffer as Fanatics. Come on, nawwwww.
  13. Oh no. Hostetler is being taken out after a change-up got away from him arm side. He's flexing that right hand and arm and then leaves slightly grimacing headed to the dugout. Dang it!
  14. Made takes the sure double play over the possible play at the plate - and, this being said that was a heck of a cross-body throw to 2B on a charging scoop. Whewww. Showing off his innate strength there. They fall to 2-0 but you love getting two outs and clean base paths.
  15. Ahhhh and then he is done in by an end of the bat corkscrew swinging bunt. Brutal luck. Baseball. 1-0 deficit.
  16. Charleston opens up the 2nd inning with a reach single to RF. This is followed by a double roped into the LF corner. Looked like a change-up that just saw way too much dead center with not enough dip.
  17. Made grounds out to 1B. Payne comes out swinging and missing falling behind 0-2. Was looking for Harrison's heater and goes down looking at a dead center slider (Harrison sits 92-95 mph and touches 99 mph). Peña flies out to LF after one pitch. On to the 2nd.
  18. You can really see the tools with RHP Jack Hostetler. Has a lot of different looks. Essentially working with a five-pitch mix. Four-seamer, sinker, cutter, change-up, and slider. He can really attack all parts of the plate. He gets 2 K to start his work tonight including a beautiful 94 mph four-seamer on the outer black after bringing one up and in the pitch before. He is a fun young pitcher.
  19. I see Figueroa did Shears a solid in there too by giving up that first batter bases clearing triple. I believe my quest for the T-Rats first time in 2025 above 0.500 just might be delayed? First time they achieve 0.500 status since their 3-3 mark and then they give up 15 through five frames in the ensuing contest? That's not all that good a look.😅
  20. Yeah. It hurts. His WP in there was really bad too. I had to turn it off. We all knew he was a wild ride before his injury. Current form is just not good and it hurts. 😪
  21. 0-2 count to the next hitter, Aquino launches one over the batter's head and to the back stop. Nice inning. LOL. Runners advance to 2nd and 3rd. Still two down. 1-2 count. AND, he gives up a roped double to the LF corner. 7-0. T-Rats deserve everything they are getting in this One. And, I'm turning this off. Be back for the evening.
  22. And Baez short arms with an odd step an odd-hopped deep high chopper down the 3B line - nah, he just misplayed the bounce. Sigh. He is charged an E5 and that scores another run. 5-0 Kernels. Lead-off double. Ground out. Advanced to third on a fly out to RF. Two down on the run-scoring error. Aquino then plunks the next batter on the first pitch right on the elbow. Man. Game two is not the stuff for these T-Rats. Shades of their entire season in this one.
  23. I get you. I'm just being cheeky there. There are a lot of solid org depth guys that are quite young. And, yes, following them as they work their way through Levels will be quite interesting. And, as you astutely allude to above because they are young many of these guys will likely repeat levels. And, that's just fine and dandy.
  24. He gets the K swinging regardless as he walks off barking at the ump who absolutely blew that inning. What can you do?
