  1. Yeager is on in the 8th. His 39th appearance. He comes aboard firing 96 mph well high and outside. Falls behind 2-0.
  2. Hall K's swinging on an outside 93 mph heater. Murray lines out to 2B on the first pitch. On to the bottom of the 8th. 1-0 Shuckers.
  3. First pitch pseudo-liner up the middle with the infield in. Ahhhh, I forgot there was only one down. Makes more sense.
  4. EBJ just hit one to the LF warning track and the fence. Two out 8th inning triple. Just missed a HR. 0-0
  5. Good luck to the teams facing the Sounds current Pen. My goodness. Yoho, Miz, Ashby, Paredes, Peguero. That's a straight MLB Pen - and a good one - firing Triple-A zeroes.
  6. If the Sounds can pull this out, it would appear they will finally gain a game on Columbus. They could move to 4.0 GB with a Dub tonight. I will never give up the playoff chase with a resurgent RHP Mitch White! 😎
  7. BT Dubs: Ashby has 3 of the top 5 Triple-A pitch velos tonight - 98, 98, and 98.4. 💥
  8. Oh he is definitely back. Fifth straight utter dominant relief appearance. It is absolutely glorious. 2 more K's.
  9. Cargo opened the 4th with a free pass. Mejía followed with the Sounds first hit a two-run jack! 2-0 Nashville. Black followed with a three-bagger. Hicklen just executed the Sac Fly. 3-0 game. RHP Mitch White is back dealing for the 2nd time in three starts. Wild times!
  10. RHP Bryan Rivera has K'd 8 through 3 2/3 IP. There's a problem, however. He's given up 6 H, 5 BB, 1 Balk and 6 ER and has been pulled for RHP Brailin Rodriguez who proceeded to fire a WP during his first batter faced. Muddies trail 6-0.
  11. Another pull shot - which I have also been pointing you to. And, as I've said: it isn't if he has power projection. Anyone with an eye toward skillllz can see he has it all in that beautiful frame and easy violent swing. Where we 'should' be dreaming is: "What will happen when he takes his power stroke to all fields?" That is the end goal. THAT is the future work.
  12. OH what's that you say, SS Cooper Pratt just opened the first inning with his second HR of the series? 20- Rattlers baby. As I have been telling you since his first month in Zebulon: it is only a matter of time.
  13. And, in Nashville, all the kids are asking "Can RHP Mitch White bounce back?!" We are chomping at the proverbial bit to find out. Cargo and Roller and Hicklen will man the OF grass. Dorria gets a much deserved second consecutive start while Tyler Black is back at 1B as the Sounds look to take a 3-1 series lead.
  14. All that matters here is 3B Brock Wilken is set to return! Everything else is gravy. Let's hope the men amd RHP Shane Smith can build on yesterday's big victory as they look to even the series.
  15. Can the T-Rats continue breaking their drought at Great Lakes with a two game win streak? RHP Stiven Cruz takes the starter role once again in a transition back to times of yore. My favorite backstop for the T-Rats, C Ramon Rodriguez, looks to guide him on the journey. Still no Burke or Adams with no post-game pods to give us updates.
  16. And the line up card to add to Mudacts' sweet share above. Major note here is Marco Dinges' first action behind the dish.
  17. We don't have that information at this time. I think the real question is: Is this a re-aggravation of the previous injury from the original July 9th IL? He was gone nearly a month and then only managed to play for less than 3 weeks upon return on August 1st. Either way, it was significant enough the org felt it more appropriate to call his season.
  18. Twice as nice, even...let's do it!
  19. Well, that's the thing. I am unsure if you understand (if you do, apologies in advance) that the International Player Pathway program allows the Packers to automatically carry him the entire season as an allocated 17 PS member. In other words, he is on the team because of the IPP and he doesn't need to change his status. They still have 16 open spots on the PS.
  20. Paredes throwing some smoke tonight, I see: Gotta love it. That's early season Paredes right there. Fuego.
  21. With the win the Shuckers move back to five games above 0.500 in the second half at 26-21. They trail Montgomery by 1/2 G but because Montgomery won the first half, the Shuckers really lead Mississippi by 1.5 G for that coveted second half playoff berth. Pensacola has lost three straight and are now 2.0 G back the Shuckers. AND, as I've been saying for the past week, because the bullpen has been so dang good for so long - despite their recent woes - they still are second in the entire Southern League in run differential at a +53 for the second half. I don't know how I feel about any of this. The Shuckers have been painful to watch for two weeks running now. Just grateful for a 'W'.
  22. 4-0 on the evening. Let's break out the bubbly.
  23. Holub escapes! Inside heater jammed the hitter and it was a weak ground out to Brown at SS. The Shuckers snap an 8-game losing streak vs the Barrons. That's the first win of the series and the first win all season vs the Barrons. AND only the second win over the past week. Let's take that puppy and run to the showers. Whewwww!
