I continue to like Clarke's off-speed offerings quite a bit. They have some really sneaky movement and are deceptive. He just hasn't really been sharp his entire season, unfortunately. This third inning a case and point. Absolutely dialed in facing his first two batters. Then a five pitch walk. A stolen base. And an oppo line drive single over a leaping Zamora. He hasn't executed consistently all year. But, he has tools that make it obvious why the Brewers targeted him. He just hasn't put it together in 2024.
Edit to add: I know he settled arbitration with KC last year so he came already contractually under wraps. I am pretty 'sure' (?) he is signed through 2025 - at least I remember reading and recording that in muh noggin when the trade first occurred.
